What kind of college would take a highschool 3.2 gpa for a bsn in nursing? I volunteer at hospitals, i am lifeguard, certified in first aid and cpr. I am also apart of 3 leadership programs right now. I also just got accepted for volunteering at a hospital. What are your opionions?

High school has no bearing on nursing school unless you are entering one of the very few schools that take students directly from high school. Almost all nursing schools accept applicants who have completed a certain number of prerequisite courses to the nursing program that are taken at the college level. Suggest you look online at the nursing program pages of the local nursing programs to get an idea of what is required for admission.

I agree with the response above - they will look at your GPA from pre-reqs and go by that and perhaps your TEAS score, though my school accepted me and then had me take the TEAS. My HS GPA was non-existant as I dropped out of HS and earned my GED so don't worry! I took one year of pre-reqs at a community college to prove myself academically and entered my program top of the class with 36 transfered credits and a GPA of 4.0 - let your college course talk for you, but make sure to give them the time and effort they need and you'll do great.
