Hi everyone

Published

This is my first post here and I'm so glad I found this bulletin board.

I'm the mother of three (#4 due in April 2004). I will hopefully start the nursing program fall of 2004. I will be attending CACC (Alexander City/Childersburg) campuses and I'm very excited.

I need to encouragement and experience of everyone here to help me along since I know it won't be easy.

Glad to meet all of you.:)

Hi! Congratulations on going back to school! You've taken the first big step of changing your life forever, and no matter how tough it may get, you have to remember that you are strong enough to do this! I will graduate next year as an RN. It's hard going back to school when you have a family, I hardly ever get to do things with my children and husband like I used to :( , but one day it will be worth it! :D It's hard, but we WILL make it!!! Greetings from lower Alabama!

Congrats to your decision to go to nursing school. I am a mom to three beautiful young children and I will be graduating this December...only 22 more days! I went back to school when my youngest was 10 months. It has been very hard, but I kept myself focused on the end and have made it this far with LOTS of help from my husband and brother. My 2 older children had a hard time at first since I was a SAHM for all of their life but gradually adjusted to accept it. We all have had our days and have needed to cry or just do something special together to get through a tough time. One thing that helped my kids was for us to make a "Nursing School Calender" that was from start to finish and each day we marked off the day that passed. Now they are counting down and know exactly when I will be done. We have talked about me working as a nurse and what it will be like and they know it will be ALOT better than me going to school. I will be working 7on 7off 8 hour shifts. Good Luck with your upcoming adventure!

Hi there......... Congrats on the new baby coming and starting nursing school.......... I grad from the nursing school where you will be starting!. Its very demanding at times but you can do it. I was in school there while my mother was very ill and my aunt and uncle were killed in the 98 tornado, the instructors were very good to me during that time. Study all you can whenever you can, and as tough as it may be sometimes, all you have to do will be to look at your children and know it will be worth it in the end

as my mother told me: you have to dare the storm to capture the rainbow!!

Good luck!!
