I will be graduating on June 15th from an LVN program in California and from talking to students from the previous class, it took them a couple of months before they got their test dates. I'm hoping that this is not the case with you or with me. Good-luck on your NCLEX!!

I completed a Southern California LVN program on October 14, 2005.

I received my ATT via mail on November 21, 2005 (5 weeks later).

If your particular school sent the paperwork on April 2, then you should expect the ATT during the middle part of May. Most of us who completed California LVN programs have had to wait 5 to 6 weeks for the ATT, because the BVNPT still operates by way of snail mail. They are not automated.

Thanks for the info. How did it go when you took the test. Did you feel ready? How long did it take for you to get your results? I took an NCLEX review course after I graduated. It was excellent. I'm just gong batty around here studying hard, but I need a job so badly, like yesterday, tha I guess that's why I'm so antsy.

Results come by snail mail as well. You do not pay for the license as an LVN in CA until you have actually passed the exam and receive the bill from them. In the past it is usually three weeks until you get your results of the exam.

None of the process is immediate.

Ok folks, I took the exam on 5/31. Waiting to hear back from them. Hope I passed, is all I can say.

How was the exam? How many questions did you answer before the computer shut off? I had a 3 day NCLEX review last week with Yazmin Mojica and I'm using Saunders and her study plan. I'm sad to say that my LVN program didn't teach us a lot of the things I'm finding in Saunders.

i am a graduated lvn student who is waiting to hear from the board to receive an authorization to test. i'm studying really hard, watching the mail, but it seems like it's taking forever to hear from them. i graduated on march 19th of this year. my school sent out my paperwork on april 2nd. can anyone out there who graduated from a school in california (lvn) tell me how long it took to receive their paperwork from the board? thanks, and i'm very happy to be here with you.

i graduaten in 2005 and i had my att in agout 4 weeks when you get your att register online you can pick your date to test within minutes. good luck:balloons:

I had 85 questions, it took me 2 hours because I took my time. I hardly recognized anything on it, even though I took a 3 day course also, and studied the Saunders and ERI. But I can say this; if I hadn't taken that course, which taught me how to think, and study the Saunders which just taught me period, I don't know what I would have done because I had to give a whole lot of educated guesses. Due to that fact, I left unsure, to say the least. Terrified the next few days. Doing better now. It's been 13 days since I took the test, and still no word. That's really hard. I'm in California, which does not have quick results. My advice to you is to study hard, take your time with the test. Don't get freaked out if you've never seen the material, give it your best answer, and don't be surprised if you think you failed when you finish. Most people actually do, which I kept in mind after mine. I wish you the best.
