Hey there MSN in leadership and management

I just got an email that i passed all 4 of the assessments :) I am planning on starting the MSN program in March, are there any other MSN in leadership and management students here? if so where do you work now? what are your career goals? I have been a nurse for 4 years, I work in psych and corrections, I was a charge nurse on the psych unit and a unit manager on a long term care floor. Im really excited about starting school again (got my RN-BSN in 2012) lets get to know one another and stay in touch :)

Congrats! I start Feb 1st. I already have access to my courses though so I have already started studying :) You will get access on Feb 15th so take advantage of those extra few weeks. You can't take any tests or submit any work but you can read, study and take notes on the material. I too work in psych inpt and have for 11 years. I was recently promoted to nurse supervisor. I hope my MSN will change my title to director and allow me more director responsibilities. There is a facebook group for WGU RN to MSN in Leadership and Management-you should definitely join. I have found it very helpful. Good luck!

I am looking to start March 1st in the MSN Leadership and Management Program, too!

I've been a nurse for almost 6 years, working in an acute surgical inpatient floor at the VA in Portland.

I'm excited, kinda nervous, and motivated!

I hope to finish in 18 months. Sooner would be awesome, but I'm trying to be realistic!

Anyone recently apply with a BSN ?? Just curious if there are a lot of pre requisites other than the 36 credits for the MSN??

I have a BSN through Excelsior and applied, they are in the process of evaluating my transcript, I'll report back after I hear back.

You will only need the 38 credits for the MSN :)

Hello!! Congrats to everyone on beginning the MSN. I have completed all the courses and only have the Capstone left. :D. I started less than 1 year ago in March. Can't wait to finish. I already held my BSN x 17 yrs. let me know if I can be of Ny help since I have " been there"
