Hey Everyone! I accepted a job offer!

Well I went on a interview today at Wake Medical Center and got offered a fulltime postion working on a neuroscience floor. This hospital is so nice and its a 804 bed level 1 trauma center. They have a zillion opportunites to learn and grow and they were just named the 1 of 2 hospital in the state with the highest nurses satisfation rate.This hospital recieved 98,000 applications last year and its super competative to get in. I will be working three 12's 7p-7a and No Weekends! I will be precepted for 3 months and the patient ratio is 1:4 on good days and 1:5 or 6 on the worst days ever. I cannot tell you all how happy and scared I am right now! Thanks for listening.

Hello Everyone!

HR called me yesterday and I am scheduled to start orientation April 20th. They also started my base pay $2 more than a new grad hourly rate and put me in their new grad Fellows program even through I got declined earlier for that program. So I am pretty happy about being able to participate in their weekly meetings. I am going to learn so much at this hospital. I am so happy! Life is good and I am truely blessed! Now I have to give my current job a 3 week notice(very nervous about that). Hubby and I are planning a vaction for the Big Apple to celebrate the week before I start my new JOB!
