I am not sure what to do anymore. I have just taken the hesi exit exam for the 4th time and got an 845 and needed an 850 in order to get my transcripts. We can take it as many times as needed by the end of fall, but my brain is so tired, and not sure I can take much more. We have remediation that we have to do and it is 3000 nclex questions before we retake. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get through this. is there anyone out there that has had to take this as many times as I have? Help someone.
Hmm, this could be contributing to the so called nursing shortage. I don't like the Hesi. We take it at school but we aren't held back in the program if we don't recieve a certain score. I don't think it is a good measure of passing the nclex. We have a 99 percent pass rate for the nclex, if you can make it through the program then you should pass the nclex and the students at my school aren't being held back to graduate and take nclex for this test. If people are given specific info to think critically over then that is one thing but these random hesi test questions are just ridiculous. It is no wonder the scores change dramatically, depends on the random questions a person might get. One day a person scores 700, 660, 440, the next day 1000 and so on and so forth. Ugggh!
If you hear something let me know. I am constantly making 800s on my Hesi at the end of every semester. I will have an A in the class until I take the Hesi. I need information as well. I feel for you. Good Luck!
I do not know how far along you are in your classes, but for you if I were to do it all over again; study for your finales from the hesi book and your notes. Also, practice a lot of questions early one like 3500, saunders etc. this will prepare you for that hesi exit exam.
Did you know all HESI tests are the same??????So this is my suggestion. When we ask for help give us some help. If you have gotten to the point where you are at test five and I am at test four you have been where I am going to go. You dont have to give us the test, just a nudge in the right direction. All of the review books and cds are preparing us to pass the NCLEX not HESI. HESI is a beast in its own right. It took me three attempts to pass the HESI and to be honest the encouraging words and suggestions given on this site from previous test takers helped. In no means did they give me the test but the right direction. Now I know your saying what did i do to help others. I provided access to the HESI practest. This saved people $70 and gave them access to HESI questions. So for those who say DO QUESTIONS.... Thats helpful and all but not what we really need to hear....Go to page 7 of this post....u will c that the test was not given but help was... GOD BLESS!!
JASMINE YOU GO GIRL AND THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK I WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE YOU SAVED 70 BUCKS. HESI IS TURNING MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN. READ MY WHOLE SAUNDERS BOOK AND QUESTIONS AND STILL GOT A 806. HESI'S NOT RIGHT THERE'S JUST NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE I GOT 6 WEEKS TO GET READY FOR VERSION 5 AND I'M GONNA MAKE MY 850 SOMEHOW SOMEWAY.:redbeathe

I am thanking my lucky stars that are school doesn't require us to get a certain score to release transcripts and to take the nclex.
