NAM are you serious? It takes a month to update student's records? I also need to call over my evaluation. Do you know any contact info up there?

I just recently took the exam. I am applying for an Accelerated BSN program and already have a BS in Biology. I had NO IDEA what to expect from this test. I didn't buy any study guides, I used this PDF I found

http://caring4you.net/HESIStudyRecommedations.pdf , the links in it and sparknotes. Also you can find online flashcards for the vocab.

(4) Implications 91.67%

Honestly, it was easier than I thought but the science portions are hard to study for since there are so few questions and a ton of information they could pull from. I have also taken the GRE and this was a cake walk compared to that. I haven't gotten accepted yet so I can't say if this was enough. Good luck everyone!

PS- It is funny I got my lowest score on the "Implications" portion of reacing comp. I remember thinking as I was taking the test that it wasn't reasonable to jump to any of the conclusions that were offered. That is my training as a scientist coming back to bite me!

First of all, CONGRALATIONS DLUXE!!

I was wondering what flash cards did you use online for the vocab? and did they all come from there or they were also other vocabulary words on the test.

There are several site that allow people to post flashcards and I just googled "HESI vocab" and then printed out the list of words. They susually said they were the words from one of the study guides. I did get questions on the test that had words that weren't on the list, those were mostly medical type words and there weren't many of them.

And thanks! I will say it is a little unnerving to see your scores IMMEDIATELY and would recommend doing whatever you think the easiest sections will be first to boost your ego!

i took the hesi exam but i failed the vocab section. can you please tell me what i need to study to pass that section. i bought the hesi A2 book but it did not help.

Hi Maryam,

do you remember what kind of words were on it.

no but i remember studying everything that was on the HESI A2 review book. but i only had very few of those on my exam. im so freaked out right now, im afraid that i might fail it again

Same here,

I haven't retaken it either because i'm afraid of failing the vocabulary part again. I mean it isn't like if you can open a medical terminology book and study everything that is in there. I just wish someone had maybe a smaller book with the most use medical terminology.

Hey Maryam do you remember question form the anatomy section?

I only had a couple of medical terminology questions, most of them were everyday english words.

DLuxe, what about anatomy question? you remember them?
