henry ford community college

I would love to know the percentage of people on the waiting lists actually attend the school. It seems like a lot of people change their mind, go to another school, have a baby, get a better job or just disappear.

Well, that's what I'm counting on:yeah:. I am hopeing and praying that enough people don't accept the offer and I can get in this fall:D.

If you catch Anna B on a good day she might tell you. I think there are a small amount that take the offer once the school calls. Also, HFH offered positions as students to us this year paid in full with a 3 yr contract. This may happen when it's your turn too. My advice, make sure your shots, class, life saver training is done so you can take advantage of it. That's why I missed out on it. It starts in May rather than August.

That's what happened to me. I was supposed to start in the Fall of '08 and I already have my first year done!!! (I think I was about #30 on the list)

Does anyone know exactly what classes they accept from Baker? I looked on the HFCC website and I don't see any Math or Intro Bio courses....I already took Intermediate Algebra and Intro to Bio @ Baker, so if it doesn't transfer that would really be disappointing if I have to take it again just to apply and get on the waitlist for Henry Ford.

Also what do they use as a determination on the waitlist? Do they use your GPA or test scores or anything like that? Or once you finish all the pre-req's and take the NET are you automatically put on the list?

Don't have any answers for you regarding Baker but all you need to get on the list is to complete the pre-reqs and pass the NET:)

So does that mean as long as I have completed those 3 then I can take the NET and get on the list and while I am waiting I can take Bio and Chemistry courses?

I just want to make sure I'm understanding what I'm reading correctly...cause I have had BAD luck lately so if those are the only three classes I need to take to get on the list (cause I've already completed them at Baker and according to their website they transfer) then wow my luck is changing!

oops, nevermind my post, I saw someone responded to my question already. :)

Hi, do you know what pre-req's you need to take BEFORE you can get on the waitlist?? I have classes that will transfer from Baker for the ENG 131 & 132 as well as the PSYC class, but I don't think anything else I have will transfer. I'm just trying to figure out (before Monday, since I'm going to go down there then) if I can sign up for the NET class now and take it or if I have more pre-req's I need to finish before I can get on the waitlist.

Eng 131 & 132 psych 131 chem 131 bio 131, it says math 074, but you need math 080 to get into chem. I wouldn't take the NET test until you are almost finished with the prereq's since it only lasts for 2 years then you need to take it over.

Hmm, I took Business Math @ Baker and it says it transfers as BMA110, do you think that will meet the requirements for the Math credit?

I was planning on taking Chem1050 and Bio1000 @ Macomb this fall and then transfering them to Henry Ford.

If I transfer all 6 pre-req's do you think that is okay? Or do I have to take a certain amount of the pre-req's @ Henry Ford?

Don't forget Soc 131!
