HI!
I am starting nursing school in January and we have to have all white, closed heel shoes. I have had an ongoing issue with plantar fasciitis and now having some back issues (which am hoping to be resolved by the time school starts). I need a really good, supportive shoe. I have a pair of Dansko clogs that I don't like at all, so can't really go that route.
I did find a pair of "walking" shoes at Clarks that feel really good ($100), not sure we can wear them for school though since their is a little mesh design at the front. The other ones I have researched that I am going to try on in the stores are:
*Keen - BLVD
*Sanita - Lisa Protector Clog and Fanny
*Dansko - Caitlin and Phoebe
There really isn't a lot of variety that come in white, there were some other ones that I thought would be good for my feet, but they don't come in white:sniff:. Any recommendations would be great.
(PS, I also tried Easy Spirit and didn't like them at all and Crocks are awful for the feet. I LOVE Birkenstocks and they are really the only shoe I can wear and feel 100% pain free everywhere, but they only have one shoe that comes in white and I'm not sure I like it and boy is it UGLY-haha).
Thanks so much!

Look at MBT's. They come in diff colors and some of them are almost all white. They are expensive and a bit wierd looking but sooo comfortable. They keep you standing up straight and no back pain for me, even after 12 hr shift!
Zappos.com has great cust service and free shipping both ways (free returns and they'll send you another size right away if first pair doesn't fit). Shoes even come in 1-3 days! They are amazing. Sketchers has done a shoe that looks very similar to MBT's, don't know about colors, cost is a bit cheaper, but MBT's are the best.
I also love my earth shoes, and love love love my joseph seibel sandals (not sure if he has white shoes available - check).
Danskos don't work for me either. I have heard z-coils are great for people with foot/back problems. Check for stores near you. I never tried them. One of my classmates swore by them
good luck

Believe it or not, years ago I found a cheap pair of all white slip-ons at Mervyn's (no longer with us), akin to Payless type shoes. These shoes had absolutely no support and did not cost an arm and a leg, but they fit the bill to a T. Comfortable. Just plain comfortable. I bought a second pair and told my co-workers about them, but some time later, Mervyn's stopped selling that particular shoe. Have not been able to find a comparable shoe since, no matter what I pay for them.

Birks, ugly as they are, make my feet happy. London is the closed-heel model in white.

I tried a few pair because of comfort (I also had to find closed toe, closed heel). I found Nursemates Quark shoes Pro-Air II. They are the the foam-type shoe, all white, apparentely machine washable, I think replaceable insoles, air vented, and super cushy and comfortable. They were about $50 at my local uniform shop, but you can find them online also. I also found "Anywear" shoes that were REALLY comfy, but the heel was about 3/4 heel (more than a slide/clog, but not like a full heel like typical shoes) and I wasn't sure they would be allowed so I didn't get them. I have found that shoes are really a matter of individual preference - some that folks recommended did work for me at all. Good luck to you!

I have plantar fasciitis (sp) I wear sketchers http://www.skechers.com/shoes-and-clothing/women/styles/athletic_shoes/product/premium_-_premix/w//q/white this pair of shoes is so comfortable It allows me to be on my feet all day with no problem. I know that this condition is most painful after being off of your feet for a while I wear a neoprene ace bandage when I am shoeless to keep the fascia stretched out and warmed up It really helps. I hope you find this info helpful.
Thank you all so much for replying with such great advice. I have looked into some of these and as soon as finals are over, I have my list of shoes and list of stores I can find them and when i am out X-mas shopping I will be hitting those stores up too!
I never would have thought of Sketchers, but they certainly have rave reviews so I will definitely be checking these out. Not sure we can even have a little silver on them, but at $50 it is worth a shot-if these fit I will probably buy an all white pair of one of the others and have these so I can swap them - also so that I don't get caught without another pair in case I can't wear them.
Thanks again, all of you have been a huge help!!!
