  1. Thank you all so much for replying with such great advice. I have looked into some of these and as soon as finals are over, I have my list of shoes and list of stores I can find them and when i am out X-mas shopping I will be hitting those stores up too! I never would have thought of Sketchers, but they certainly have rave reviews so I will definitely be checking these out. Not sure we can even have a little silver on them, but at $50 it is worth a shot-if these fit I will probably buy an all white pair of one of the others and have these so I can swap them - also so that I don't get caught without another pair in case I can't wear them. Thanks again, all of you have been a huge help!!!
  2. HI! I am starting nursing school in January and we have to have all white, closed heel shoes. I have had an ongoing issue with plantar fasciitis and now having some back issues (which am hoping to be resolved by the time school starts). I need a really good, supportive shoe. I have a pair of Dansko clogs that I don't like at all, so can't really go that route. I did find a pair of "walking" shoes at Clarks that feel really good ($100), not sure we can wear them for school though since their is a little mesh design at the front. The other ones I have researched that I am going to try on in the stores are: *Keen - BLVD *Sanita - Lisa Protector Clog and Fanny *Dansko - Caitlin and Phoebe There really isn't a lot of variety that come in white, there were some other ones that I thought would be good for my feet, but they don't come in white:sniff:. Any recommendations would be great. (PS, I also tried Easy Spirit and didn't like them at all and Crocks are awful for the feet. I LOVE Birkenstocks and they are really the only shoe I can wear and feel 100% pain free everywhere, but they only have one shoe that comes in white and I'm not sure I like it and boy is it UGLY-haha). Thanks so much! Michelle
  3. HI Everyone, I am a newbie here! I've been looking at posts and didn't quite find the answers to all my questions so if you can bare with me that would be GREAT! I'm changing careers at 32 after already getting a Master's, I'm SO nervous, but know it is exactly what I want to do. So here is the deal: I am pretty sure I want to do go into Pediatric Oncology, but I know through nursing school we will be doing all different populations. I am trying to choose the best stethoscope and my brothers wife (a PA) told me to get one that is double sided (for the peds). I have seen that the Littman Classic II SE seems to be a very popular one, but it does say it is single sided. What about the fact of single vs. double tube? My mom and dad will probably buy this for me for Christmas and they really don't have a lot of money so I will chip in whatever they can't do, so the cardiology one probably is out of the question now. Is there anything else I need to be thinking about? I do have small ears, but have been doing bp's for quite a few years now and can always hear them, so at least I have experience. I'd really love any input you all could give me. And lastly a little other tidbit, I went to uniform try on tonight and saw they were selling little clip things to hang the stethoscope on your pants/shirt pocket-are these worth it and do they work? I do get a super tight neck and wicked bad headaches, but I don't want to look like a dork either!!! Thank you all so much! MLY:D
