Ok... so I took the NCLEX exam yesterday morning and I can't stop freaking out! The exam stopped at 75 questions and I almost feel like I went around in circles. All of my questions were either SATA, math, and a few med ones. The question I got the most was "If you were assessing your patients which patient would be priority" and then I would have the 4 different patients to choose from. I'm going crazy! Has anyone had this before? Does this sound like I could have passed or does this mean that I could have failed?

Most people who only get 75 questions pass.
The test is computer adaptive which means it gives you a harder question every time you answer one right. You will only get about 50 % right not matter how well you do (i found that on a website when I was taking the test a few years ago - don't remember where). If the level of questions at that point are above competency, you pass.
The vast majority of people I know came out feeling like they failed. (one of my classmate went to ask one of our teachers to tutor him so he would pass on his second try. She said, "I'm sorry you didn't pass. When did you find out?" He said, "Oh, I just finished taking the test but I KNOW I failed." He passed even though he was sure he failed.)
It is not like a nursing school test - you are not expected to know everything. They are checking for competency.
Let us know when you hear that you are now a nurse!
Thanks Ladies!! Your words helped to calm my nerves down some...it is just horrible having to feel this way!
