HELP! Should I transfer schools???

Published

I am currently an RN program student at the Flint Baker College Campus. I have heard so many negative things about trying to secure a position after graduation and that this school is not nationally accredited. I am thinking about transferring over to the Flint U of M Campus. Has anyone done this? I am not sure of the difference in the amount of time it will take to graduate. So far, it seems as though only my Pathophysiology credits won't transfer, which stink because I had a 4.0 in that. I was supposed to take my entry exam in the Spring and start my clinicals in the Fall. Anyway, I am kind of freaking out a little...I am a single Mom with 3 young children....time is of the essence, but then again, I need to be able to secure a great job as well. HELP PLEASE!!!

Find out if the school is nationally accredited, don't base your decisions on what other people have told you. If the school is nationally accredited then weigh your options and make the best decision for yourself. If the school is not nationally accredited then transfer as fast as possible. The last thing you want to do is go through nursing school only to realize that school didn't help improve your situation.
