Help with Research Topic ASAP!!!!

Okay guys. I give up! I have to write a 5-7 page research paper this summer for my college comp. class. I have to have three possible topics ready for class tomorrow morning and I can't figure out what I want to do. Everything I choose seems too broad or I can't find much information on. Since I don't have that much time left (about 4 1/4 weeks) I don't want to be on a fishing expedition.

I am not allowed to do: abortion, legalizing marijuana, lowering the drinking age, euthanasia (would have been my first choice), death penalty, gun control and eating disorders.

HELP Please!!! I just need someone to jog my mind here so that I can come up with something!

With help from all of you, I decided on my three (actually four) possibilities and hopefully he won't knock them all down:

organ donation, educating the public and concerns as to why people don't donate

elderly abuse

freedom of speech-censorship in the media

same sex parenting or same sex marriage (pretty sure he'll knock this one down)

Funny you mention censorship as one of your topics. I took English Comp last semester and one of the papers I did I titled, "Censorship in America: The Silencing of Howard Stern". My prof HATES Howard but LOVED my paper. She ended up submitting it to the college publication and to a national publication. I don't know if it will be published or not, but it was a damn good paper, if I say so myself! :chuckle

The other topics I did were LPN duties vs. RN duties, why the Red Sox will win the World Series this year ( :) ), and a paper on why there is such a shortage of nurses.

I had a lot of luck researching the different points of views on childhood immunizations. There is a lot of info on it...had to narrow it down to three medical conditions that have been aributed to immunizations: Autism, diabetes and SIDS.

I ended up with elderly abuse. (I could never have done childhood immunizations for the reason that the above poster stated..I don't believe in NOT getting them unless there is a definite medical reason. I don't believe that they cause any of those things.) Thank you all for contributing. I wasn't even considering elderly abuse until someone here mentioned it. Now, here goes the research...........

I do too and I am actually excited about it. I don't really want to go the general way of this is what elderly abuse is, how it occurs and how we can stop it ......so, I'm looking to see where my research takes me. I am looking for other angles.
