Hey guys, Im new to this website and need some info ASAP.I will be relocating to the Phoenix area and am considering employment with Maryvale. I don't know much about this hospital, but have read some past forums. In the forums that I did read I saw something like " Maryvale / Scaryvale??? PLease PLease ellaborate! I got offered a position there recently and have NOT accepted the postition yet but am considering it. I am a new grad and feel that in my position the first year out of nursing school is very very critical. The position is in the ED. I also am a Paramedic, if there are any EMS personnel that are also nurses : please let me know what the ED is like and and how well overall is patient care is. I am really excited about the move and was very excited about a possible position in the ED, but I really want to be informed. So please ellaborate on Maryvale/Scaryvale???
Continued.......... I got a sticky finger. like you couldn't tell from this thread! N-E-Ways.I am more excited about my actual move to Arizona than My NCLEX results( O.K. so very close!). I have wanted to move to Arizona for about 6 years and will finally be there this Tues. I am from the north but have been living in the south for the last 3 years , the south wasn't for me. BUT I will now be a Westerner!!
To get back to the whole Spanish speaking thing I don't fore-see a huge problem with that I grew up bilingual but I do need to work on my Spanish Medical Terminology! It's getting tweeked!
On a side not--if any one has a dying desire to let me know anything about my move please let me know!! Thanks again everyone:)

I wanted to say welcome to AZ!! I found the forum city-data.com very helpful. Click on go to forums on the top of the screen, then choose AZ and then Phoenix.

Thanks! I'm going to check that website out. I'm still trying to adjust to the time change! Hopefully I can find activities for our son and also for my husband and I.
