help please

I am a nursing student, I just finished my medical surgical nursing, I did not pass. One reason for this is that I started with a 70 on my first test, which is 5 short. So I developed serious anxiety, I cant get things right, I cant move pass my first test. I was always top of the class in foundation. My ability to concentrate was lost, I knew my material well enough before the class, I answer question, I teach student in my class how things works, but the moment am in the exam room, the fear of the first exam creep and I start making indecision about the right answer, to the point that I will pick the wrong one. I am not use to do question review but at the end of the semester I look at one of the review CD and I found a lot of the question that was ask during the semester. Please guys I seriously need help... what do I need to for next year.

It seems that you are suffering from anxiety. It is good that you are expressing yourself because that will help you calm down. It is important that you talk to someone. Maybe a close friend or relative you trust. You seem like a bright person and the material is not beyond your reach. The anxiety seems to be what got in the way. In preparation for next year, you should study independently at a relaxed pace. Get yourself more familiar with the material, so next time around you will be more comfortable with it. Look into relaxation techniques, too. Find what has worked for you in the past. Next year you will be armed with knowledge and strategies to keep the anxiety down and keep your focus. I commend you for your dedication in wanting to return next year. Good luck to you.
