Help please!

I am a registered nurse living in the UK and would like to relocate to Sacramento, CA.

I prefer not to go with an agency. I am wondering where do I get the ATT forms from?

Is there any British nurses out there who may be able to help, or anybody really!

Thanks

Hi and welcome :groupwelcome:

Can be done without an agency and would suggest reading the primer at the top of the international forum and also read some of the UK to US threads on the UK forum. Would suggest going a different route than CA as at the moment it is taking approx 6 months to get ATT as CA BON does their own transcript evaluation and because you won't have a SSN they won't issue you with your license just a letter saying you have passed NCLEX.

The other thing to think about is how long have you been qualified as UK nurse training doen't always meet the US requirements and you could be short in some hours. Again plenty of threads about it in the UK forum.

Hope this helps

Hi, I trained and work at North M/n General.

It's an excellent website for info! But I'm being to realise just how difficult this move is going to be! But, I have to start somewhere!

Keep you posted!

Hi Madwife,

I also trained at Withington hospital from 1990-1993 then i worked on 9a for 18 months before moving up to Scotland.

I have just decided to move out to the U.S, i have so far just been reading the threads to try and get some idea where to start and the best way of doing it.

I have read a lot of your posts and found them very interesting.

Where in Withington did you work?
