I doubt it...You will not see your name, you will have to wait on the mail if you failed...Sorry to know of your failure. God will see you through this exam...it can be very devastating.

But what are the steps to follow. If you know tell me.

No SSN, no license. You go to the license verification page on the website and type in the info for a search. First, last name. You can add county of residence if you want.

If you just took the exam yesterday or a couple of days ago, it probably won't come up on the website. CA takes anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks or months. Some people stated it took five months to get their results. If you do not have SSN info with the board, you will never see your name come up. I would get the SSN situation taken care of as soon as possible. Then worry about retaking the exam if you did not pass. Good luck all the way around. Look forward to having you come back and tell us the good news that you have obtained your license!

Suggest you do a search on Ca as much has been written both in this forum and the International forum regarding CA and SSN. If you have no SSN then you will not see your name on the BRN website and you have 3 years to provide one and if you are affected by retrogression expect it to take a bit longer than 3 years currently

Retrogression has been ongoing since Oct 06 and basically means that demand for visas are higher than actual visas allocated each year. I suggest a good read in the international forum as much has already been written about it and many many nurses are currently in the queue and have been for several years.

You can not get a SSN until you are in the US with a valid work/immigrant visa and again much has already been written in the International forum on this subject so may be worth doing a search using Retrogression and California as the key words once you are in the forum. You can find the International forum under the region tab above
