Help with NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

I am looking for a good review course or book/CD. I have taken the NCLEX-RN, a few times now and have not been able to pass. I am also stuggling with anxiety issues. If anyone knows of any good pointers, I would love to hear about them. THanks.

When I was studying for NCLEX ( I took it & passed with 75 questions in July) I used a bunch of NCLEX CD roms with practice questions. My favorites were Saunders, Lippincott, & Incredibly Easy. I answered about 5000 questions before I took my NCLEX & I felt very prepared on exam day (although still nervous-that is only normal). Let me know if you need additional advice. Good luck.

I did questions from a Saunders CD, questions from Mosby's: Review Cards for NCLEX-RN (there are only 1170 of them), and questions from a Kaplan Question Trainer CD. I also skimmed my Kaplan Coursebook.

Liberal Ks huh, I used to live in Wichita :). Anyway, I took NCLEX 3 times. I too have anxiety, especially with a test that is as major as NCLEX. At least I did. I did questions from a Saunders CD, questions from Mosby's: Review Cards for NCLEX-RN (there are only 1170 of them), and questions from a Kaplan Question Trainer CD. I also skimmed my Kaplan Coursebook. I took Kaplan for my second attempt at NCLEX. A lot of people have been satisfied with Saunders...A LOT!!! In fact, my friend called me this morning to thank me for giving her my Saunders CD of questions, she said it really helped her--this was her 4th time taking the test. She found out this morning that she passed NCLEX. As for anxiety, I did positive affirmations a lot. By the time I tested, I felt more relaxed. Of course I was a little anxious, but I think that's only natural. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the info! I will definetly look into the Saunders CD. I have taken the test 5 times now. I took my LPN and passed that so I know I should be able to pass the RN. Thanks again for the positive reasurance I really need it!

Pick up a copy of Saunders Comprehensive Review and I will help you.

Saunders is a great choice! I used several review books and CDs for NCLEX but the Saunders and Mosby were the best ones. I thought the Mosby material was good for content review, but the Saunders review questions more closely resembled the ones I got on my NCLEX. I highly recommend it. If you can get the Saunders Computerized Review there are some great questions on that CD, too. I also took the Kaplan review course. Expensive, but well worth the money IMO.

I used the prentice hall series. Its about $25 per book, with maybe 10 books in the series, but well worth the money. Each book has a CD with hundreds of NCLEX type questions. I passed with 75 questions and I think this really helped me focus and filter out unneeded info. :p
