Hi Everyone!
I recently graduated from RN program here in new york city. I am currently hold a F1 visa. My faculty professors told me that I will not be able to give my NCLEX test here in Newyork because I don't have a social security number yet. Being an international student is already difficult and now I can't even give my NCLEX. Can someone pls refer other states that will allow to seat on the NCLEX without SS#. Any advice will be highly appreciated.
1 more queston. My classmate told me several days ago that he is an undocumented students. He is also looking for states that will allow him to seat on the board. Please help!
Thankyou!

I don't think your faculty professor knows what they are talking about, I took NCLEX with the NY state and don't have a SSN and looking at their site and requirements there is no mention of requiring a SSN to be able to sit the NCLEX.
Have you applied for OPT because if not that is where you may have issues due to retrogression. If you require a visa allowing you to work and stay in the US you will struggle as you can not AOS and work.
Your friend as a undocumented student may be able to sit NCLEX is they apply to a state but then may have issues as a license may not be issued without a SSN (seeing more and more states moving this route) so therefore may not be able to work as many states even if they issue the first license may require a SSN to renew license.

Even with a license in hand, US employers are required by law to verify that the person is legally authorized to work in the US, and all legitimate healthcare employers do this. An illegal/undocumented person will not be able to get a legitimate nursing job, with or without a license.
