Help Me Please !!!!

:uhoh21: I need your help!! I am taking psychology as a pre-requisite to get into the RN program. I am an LVN already and am doing a paper on ............ and nursing. Could someone please fill in the blank for me. i am looking for a really great idea to write on. Once I get it, I have to look up 3 articles on it as well !! Any help/ideas would be appreciated :nurse:

Men and nursing. It's a hot topic, and does have some psychological aspect to it (social stigma of only females being nurses, etc).

Go to the psych forum and read through some of the threads. You ought to be able to get some good ideas and maybe even find some links to help with your research.

How about health psychology and nursing. Health psychology is an actual sub-specialty within psychology. You could cross reference health psychology with nursing journals. Then you could discuss how nurses can use health psychology to promote wellness and/or optimal health functioning with patients.

Personality disorders and nursing. You could define the major personality disorders and how they present. Then discuss the relavence for nurses.

Neuropsychology and nursing. You could define and describe the field of neuropsychology and how it helps patients. Then, why nurses need to know this.

Maslow's hierarchy and nursing. How it applies to nursing, etc.
