MOst States have a form that you can download from the computer for renewing your license. There is, of course, a fee but if you check out the website of the Board of Nursing that holds your license you will be able to find out what to do.
Usually it's just a case of confirming you have practised as a nurse for their requisite number of hours in your country, filling out the form & sending in the money.
No need to panic.
thank you so much guys for info.....
Saipan BON is not a US state... so I'm not sure what a SSN has to do with it.... but I assume it's like most places, where you just pay the fee and fill out the renewal form.
 thanks dude
BTW you never have to take N-CLEX again. Once done, never forgotten, never have to do it again!
thanks pal! now I have a peaceful mind!

Sorry, but that is not the case. If the nurse has not been licensed as a nurse for years, usually ten or more and wants to get back in the field, most states are requiring that the NCLEX be taken again.
And to clear up some mis-information that is listed above without having to go thru each and every post.
There are states and territories that will grant a nursing license without the nurse having a Social Security Number, but to renew the license, it requires that the nurse have a SSN#. If a SSN#, is required to work there, then there will be a requirement of the SSN# to renew.
Every single state in the US that issues the license without a SSN#, will need to see one before they will renew the license. Not one will do it without that magic number.
Please do not trust the word of the agencies, most have very misguided and misleading information, especially out of the Philippines.
what if I just passed the nclex but im still here in phillippines and expiration date is 2yrs? can I renew it even if I dont work in US.
