Help! Indiana people??

U.S.A. Indiana

Hey guys-

I transfered a year and a half ago to South Carolina and had to redo a whole bunch of stuff. I am finally in my nursing program and my husbands job is planning on moving us to Indiana! Is there anyone that knows of nursing schools that take transfers? I already have 1 semester done and if I have to redo that, that is fine...But i rather not take more than 2 years to finish my BSN! considering ive already had 3 to get here! I was looking at schools in IN but they all have 4 year BSN tracks and don't say anything about transfers on their websites! This seemed unusual to me. Let me know if anyone knows of anything up there. We would be moving near Lafayette and I wouldn't mind driving an hour! Thanks

Moving this to the Indiana forum to hopefully get more responses.

hey I am pretty sure that Ball State has a transfer program. I would look into that!

My hubby was in the military - so I know exactly where you are coming from. I went straight from Las Vegas to Marian College in Indianapolis and did not have to repeat anything. Are they pricey? Yes but well worth it when I could just continue on.

I'm not sure if you'll still need this info. I've lived in Indiana all my life, and went to Purdue for both my Medical technology, and currently, nursing degree. I think if you want to cut back on time spent in school, you can look into the accelerated programs. But, be forewarned, since it's an accelerated program, there's some hefty pre-reqs. Go to the website and find out if you can transfer any of your credits (they have an online credit transfer program...for your convenience). IU has an excellent program also...but I'm biased to purdue. Check both programs online and let me know what you decide on! :nurse:
