So this is the situation... I had "earned" myself 2 DUI's in the state of CA back in 2012. I was not working at the time, so it had nothing to do with on the job or any accidents or injuries, but my LVN license is under investigation by the AG office now (no prior criminal history). They said if I want to continue to practice I can have a hearing to present my side and evidence that I have taken steps to better my situation. i.e. treatment program, letters of character references, and so on (which I have). If I don't attend the hearing they will revoke my license. I planned on going to the hearing, but since then I have moved out of state to NV. I am wondering if CA revokes my license, would I still be able to obtain licensure in NV? If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate their responses. Thank you in advance!

Probably not. Consult with your malpractice carrier or a license defense administrative law attorney. You can get a referral from the American association of nurse attorneys at http://www.taana.org
