I have peds with cross- training to the mother and baby interview tommorow,I kind of blew the phone conversation with recruiter when she ask me what I think about being cross-trained to the pospartum unit; my reply was "I will try" I guess she didnt like the response because she said that she needs someone who is really passionate about peds and mother and baby,I responded that I'm new to the nursing world....anyway she scheduled an interview with me tommorow at 2 pm and I worried that I kind of blew it arleady from the get-go because I guess I didnt sound excited enough and also wasnt very vocal..the cross-training question kinda sorta stunned me....anyway I really want to get this positon because I really liked my peds rotation at that hospital, plus the hours are awsome (I will be doing 3 12's night times, however for the first two months I will be orienting on days) The reason I kind gave a stupid reply to the cross-training thing is that I have variety of interest and I'm not that kind of person who could only do PEDS (I dont maybe that what she expected from me to say that peds is the only specialty I want to do) but I like med-surg and peds the same....I know strange, any tips, idea how to get this wonderfull opportunity and turn it around the bad beggining into a wonderful ending?
