They actually just discussed PCOS on the show, "The Drs." A few significant symptoms include obesity, abnormal hair growth and abnormal periods. One strong suggestion is weight reduction. My sister was diagnosed with PCOS when becoming pregnant was an issue. She had to turn to invitro fertilization. They also informed her PCOS runs between sisters. Hope this helps.
  2. As posted earlier, take BLS. ACLS would not be helpful in your position; also BLS is certainly needed prior to taking ACLS.
  3. Good luck! Walk in confident; constantly remind yourself that you've worked hard to earn your degree. You can do it!
  4. I'm a new grad as well. I waited 6 weeks to take my boards following graduation. I recommend taking them ASAP. I applied online for my job. However, it has been tough finding jobs. One of my nursing friends actually just accepted an RN position through the hospital's open house. Best of luck!
  5. Also, I am new to this website. I registered yesterday. What is PMing? I'm assuming private message; how do I do that? Thanks!!
  6. Hi Billythekid, I've been reading your past posts.. they have been informative! I'll be in NS. My start date is next Monday. Any additional suggestions about the program?
  7. ISeeYouRN, Any luck with the fellowship? I accepted a position in the CCU. Hope to hear from you soon.
