HELP!! expired ATT

Published

hi guyz!! i juz had my att expired.. ive taken nclex once and now im planning to retake it.. but my att already expired.. does anyone here knows what process i have to undergo? do i have to do the same process from the very start? from passing same required documents to BON from my nursing school and all that?

Hey there! =)

Unfortunately, you will have to re-apply and re-register, just the way you did it the first time you took the NCLEX. In California, it takes for a while for them to process stuff so I wouldn't wait another minute to do this. You will have to re-do the application and pay the $75.00 and mail it to the boards. They will send you a letter stating you are eligible to take the NCLEX. After that, get on Pearson and pay the $200.00 for your NCLEX Exam. You'll get the ATT emailed to you once again and then you can schedule your NCLEX exam.

I hope this helps! I have to do the same thing tho, because I didn't pass my exam, lol...so yeah, I'm right there with you!

Good luck! =)

i think you just need to send the application form again and wait for the confirmation that you are eligible to take the exam.after that you will get your att through your mail or e-mail.

just like the first time i applied? does dat mean i have to ask my nursing school to send out documents to BON again?

I don't know if your nursing school will do it for you or not. You can try asking them to help you fill it out, but you may have to do it on your own. I would definitely go back to your school because there is a certain way they had it filled out that you might not remember, so it'll help. You're paying money for the education, the least they can do is help you right?

I know that's what I have to do. It's very annoying to deal with!

yeah,, i know.. haha! oh my.. communicating with my school would be hard.. it's in Philippines.. and now im in US.. ;) thanks for your help anyway.. :)

No problem at all! =)

Are you going to take the NCLEX PN or NCLEX RN???

Nclex-RN.. have you taken it yet? dont know how to start reviewing again.. i feel too overwhelmed.. i dont know where to start with... :(

I'm actually taking the NCLEX-PN. I'll get to the RN stuff eventually! I plan on going all the way to an NP. =)

Darn, I wish I could private message you but I need like 15 posts to do it, I believe. I can explain how I was going to study for it and what I was going to use. I got most of the advice from allnurses.com though. This is the only website that has been keeping me SANE this whole time and motivated. I've found so much help on here, it's crazy! =) In a good way tho!

What state have you applied to? ATT is only good for one exam and usually the BON sends out the relevant information regarding reapplying when they send out the results and if you failed send the sheet giving you an idea on your scores. You will have to pay pearsonvue again the $200 and there may be a small fee that the BON requires and most will state something on their website. Would suggest you also check out the state website for information

Call the Board and ask. You most likely have to start over again.
