Help Chronicity! Excelsior

Nursing Students Excelsior

Published

Hey everyone! I have a question. I just took Health Safety and passed. I'm not supposed to take chronicity but for some reason I can't get the content guide. I applied and sent my transcripts to excelsior last week, so I'm waiting to hear from them but would like to start studying in the mean time. Does anyone know how I can get the content guide? Also, what study materials did you find most helpful for this exam? Thanks for any information you can give me.

You have to be enrolled in order to get the Content guide and/or register for any exams after Health Safety (or Health Differences if youre not an LPN).

True. I'm also studying for the chronicity course. I had to apply to EC first and as soon as i get enrolled i'll be able to view the content guide.

Do you know anyone with TCN learning modules? that's how I'm studying for it right now. You can check on ebay or just ask someone from work if they know anyone using TCN. There are 4 or 5 nurses where I work who have gone through TCN.

Thats very true lisa. I found some college network books on amazon.com. The thing is they come as nursing concept titles but they can be very helpful. I'm also thinking of getting additional study guides from studygrouo101. do you think they can be helpful?

omojo, I've read some very good things about studygroup101, but have no personal experience with them. I've been tempted to purchase their stuff, but so far, I've been successful with the material I have and am hesitant to put up the additional funds. My biggest expense thus far has been buying a brand new edition of the fundamentals book. Everything else I beg and borrow. LOL.

Wow! that must have cost a fortune. I have one fund. of nrsing book i used in my lpn sch by kozier annd Erb. i must have spent about $150 only to find out i could buy it for about $25 on amazon used books. The book is still useful though. I found out that older editions are way cheaper.:twocents:

I loved the studygroup 101 materials. I compared them with my content guide, and they were right on the money. Very worth it money wise and score wise. I made an A on NC3 the vintage form of Chronicity plus another exam. Now they have divided it up, so I had bunches of info., and with SG101...I went in feeling confident, still nervous, but confident. You can Do This! Traci

You can do it....I took the exam few months back....Alot of info. on it. I found just understanding what you have read helped me alot as I followed the EC content guide...I also used SG101 as my form of notes....Best of luck! :)

Its all about study group 101! I just passed transition and health/safety in 1 month. SG 101 is worth every cent. I passed heath/safety yeserday with virtually zero time spent in the book. The practice exams they offer are VERY beneficial. I was confident when I hit the "end exam" button. Chronicity and repro next month!

This is an interesting thread as I've read that many people are completing 2 exams a month. How do you do it? Are you basically studying 48 hours a day?
