I just passed the NCLEX exam (California) last June 12, 2007. My IELTS will expired on January 2008. Where will I forward my IELTS result. What is the procedure for VISA screening certification?
I am applying for VisaScreening thru the website. What type of visa should I apply for; TN, H1B, H1C or Permanent Green Card? What are the differences between these type of visas? Thanks.
you can't apply for visa but for purpose of VSC tick permanent green card
VSC ensures that you meet immigration requirements for USA. It is your employer in the US who applies for the visa which for nurses is the green card
hi! Im a newbie, and I just wanna ask about visa screening, is it the same with the CGNFS test, Im really confused, a friend told me that I can get this visa screening without taking the CGNFS??? hope you guys can help me out. thanks!!
You mean a Visa Screen Certificate (VSC), which is required by the US Embassy when applying for a visa. To get a VSC you must either pass NCLEX or CGFNS plus an English Proficiency Test like TOEFL or IELTS. Having passed both requirements, you can apply for the certificate and it's valid for 5 years.
CGFNS handles many different items. They administer the CGFNS exam. They handle the CES and the CVS, that are needed by some Boards of Nursing before they will look at your application for licensure.
The Visa Screen Certificate is actually handled thru ICHP which is a sister company to CGFNS.
It is required that you pass the CGFNS exam, or the NCLEX exam, plus have completed the English exams to be able to get the VSC.
The only visa that you are applying for is permanent resident.
