Hello! Who Is Taking Their Nclex Exam End Of July

Published

I was wondering if there is anybody taking their Nclex Exam at the end of July and would like to be held accountable in making sure that they complete a set amount of question per day? I would like for us to login/check into the forum every day if posssible to say that you have completed your questions for that day.

I struggle with doing at least 100 questions a day! I am hoping that there is another person who could benefit from being held accountable.

Thanks in advance!

Anne36,

Did you finish CD/book of saundars already?

Yesterday, I read chapter 27, 28, 30 in saundars only did 32 questions. Long chapters of PEDS my weak area and as I read I'm writing down information I forgot or should know.
I'm stuck on PEDS too :-( I was supposed to be doing PEDS all week but the chapters are so darn long! And tedious too! Needless to say I didn't keep the schedule from the calendar and now I will be spending my Sunday trying to finish all of PEDS so that I can get back on track on Monday. No day off for me....P.S. - Im really starting to dislike PEDS....

I didn't do any questions today for the PEDS chapters from Saunders. But I did manage to do 50 questions from exam cram practice questions book. I'm at work now and don't get off until 7am. I'm going to try to do some more questions before I start getting tired (which is normally around 2 am)

Me too, I'm up til 2 am lol sometimes.

I kept the 30 day calendar from saundars and its mark on my calendar to do everyday. I am not taking time off as it says to take Sat/Sun off. It's non stop PEDS. Next OB, pharm..... Some adult chapters not much. Happy Studying!

sat: chapters 32 10 q, ch 33 14 q, ch 34 10 q, ch 35 9 q, ch 36 10 q = 53 questions of day and read 5 chapters in saunders peds:rotfl:

You go!! I worked overnight so when I wake up today I'm going to finish the rest of the PEDS chapters and all of the questions from each chapter. I did manage to do 85 questions at 5 am, from NCLEX 3000. Needless to say, I didn't do so well. I wonder if it had anything to do with being up almost 18 hours with no sleep?! Well at least I got in 135 questions yesterday. I'm going to sleep now. I got a whole lot of reading to do when I wake up :-)Have a great morning everybody. Be back this afternoon :-)

Completed questions trainer 7 and scored 57% which is the same score I got on question trainers 5 and 6 :/. I take NCLEX-RN on july 22nd (next Sunday). Kinda nervous with low scores like this.

I completed all the application and analysis questions from Saunders. After that I got tired of getting same questions over so I have been using nclex-3000 online. Too bad there is not some mechanism to weed out repeat questions. Im weak in Peds and feel so crabby about it. My program had only 1 month of Peds, half of the RN rotation. I would hope that is reflected in the questions asked on NCLEX. We had no Psych in our program either.

I dont know anyone from my class who spent more than 1 month studying for nclex. Some people spent 2-3 weeks and passed.

Hi all!

Just got my NCLEX date, July 28th! I took the ATI predictor test a month ago, scored a 74% individual total with a 96% probability of passing on the first try. My weaknesses were Safety + Infection Control (61%), and Health Promotion and Maintenance (53% ouch). My strengths were Physiological Adaption (83%) and Psychosocial (86%).

Since then I've been going to B&N to study and manage to do about 100 questions + test taking strategies. At home I have the online questions from Saunders and the cd-rom from Mosby's.

I'm having a hard time with actually reviewing information. I feel like my brain is stuffed with so much information yet at the same time know nothing! Not to mention, where do I even begin with review? I mostly do questions/read rationales and read over test strategies and this serves me well. However I need to start setting up a day or two to go through my flashcards again. Maybe I should follow the fundamentals-medsurg-peds-mentalhealth model?

Will continue to post results from my quizzes.

I want to join 100q today from Saunders
