Same boat over here! And hello to you as well :)
Thanks for all the responses !! How is your journey toward obtaining and RN license going? Whats the most frustrating part of this endeavor? Are you doing a LPN to RN Bridge program ?

I'm an LVN who completed school 14 months ago and am finishing my first semester of RN prerequisite classes in just a few days. Welcome!

I have been doing pre-reqs since 2003- part time. Working fulltime weekends on a busy med-surg floor. Finally have enough credits to apply in Jan. to 2 bridge programs that start in May. It has been rough and rewarding with more drama to come!
Right now the most frustrating part is giving up every weekend and the fact that the LVN-RN programs require different pre-reqs.
I would have to agree the different preqs for different schools is a major pain. Fortunately I found a Bridge program I can do online which elminates the gpa competition and I still complete it in a year with an intensive amount of clinicals over the summer. Talk to you all again soon...

Hello,
I am also going through the same. After 28 yrs. I figure it is about time. I only have 1 of my children left at home. They will be out of high school and off to college in 2 yrs. too. So, what better time to be focused on getting my degree.
