Hi Everyone

Just wanted to let you know that I finally made it to Florida and have been here for 4 weeks now. I havent been able to get on line til last week so just thought I would quickly let you knwo that i have been in work for 2 weeks now and we are slowly settling down here and enjoying it so far...will let you know how I am properly when I have more time in the next day or so.

Well just finished my 1st week of nights off Orientation. So far so good. The schedule is a bit gruelling but the actual shift is ok and the staff are very nice. I am in a Rehab facility which is just right for my needs at the mo as I had been out of hospital nursing for 12 years so was lacking in confidence. The pace here is a bit slower than hospital and not many IV's etc but there is enough for me to learn and gain my confidence. i am treating this as a stepping stone to something else.

It is pretty much as I thought it would be except for the paperwork - OMG what an abundance of paper to go through!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, so far so good. Life hasnt been easy with one thing and another since we got here but things are settling down just in time for xmas. So I am glad I have made the move...

Hope you dont mind me jumping in on the forum but im very intrested in how you get on, i got a job at the florida hospital and hope to be in florida as soon posible.
