Heard of ANSM Consultancy- Australian Nurse, Student and Migration Consultancy?

I attended the seminar of this Consultancy last March 13. A friend of mine just texted me about the seminar. As much as I liked the idea that the Consultancy presented, I am kind of skeptical about this Consultancy. I also have been trying to research about them but I couldn't find anything. I was also not satisfied with the way the seminar was conducted. They had a powerpoint presentation which was more about Australia (places, tourist attractions, wildlife, etc), instead of discussing the process itself. I was also a little disappointed because they did not give us a copy of the breakdown of expenses to be paid and when we are supposed to pay it. Also, they failed to provide us with an outline or instructions on the steps that we would undergo. But they did tell us that they are just going to send these to out emails. I did receive the email yesterday, but still I just want to make sure that this is legitimate.

If anyone could give me any feedback about this Consultancy, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I would like to ask our moderators if there is a way to check if a Consultancy is legitimate? Are they also registered in the POEA (Philippine Overseas & Employment Agency) just like Recruitment Agencies? Because someone told me that since they do not give "job offers" they are not registered in the POEA, is that right?

Thank you very much for all of your help! God Bless!!!

Hi, yes I have heard of ANSM Consultancy and one of my friends has already received their approval to proceed with competency with them. Other nurses are leaving for Australia next month. I will be applying shortly.

They represent an Australian Company called ASNC Pty Ltd and you can check its registration with the ASIC Australian Securities and Investment web site and business registration with the Australian Business Register http://www.abr.gov.au They gave these details to my friend so she could check the validity.

The details they give are all correct.

The nurses travel to Australia as students so no need for POEA.

They are a reputable firm

Let me start off by stating that I know nothing of this company, have never heard of them.

But be very aware that just because a company has registration, that tells you nothing about them at all, or how they perform. Registration means absolutely nothing in determining a company, etc. Or that they have a nice website, that can be done in minutes.

The poster above stated that no information was given out on what the fees would be, etc., and that is what you need to be looking for, not a Power Point presentation and that information to follow later on, it needs to be presented up front and from day one.

Not sure how you are so aware that all of the details are correct when they were not given to you. Things just do not happen as you are being promised in so many cases.

Please do your homework before signing any contract with any company. And thoroughly check them out, registration is not checking them out. And also see if they can recruit in your country as that is what they are doing, just having an office there does not means that they are licensed to do so in your country.

I understand your concerns, but they did give the costs and the process of applying together with the fees and payment schedule during the seminar. These were explained in detail and after we were advised they would forward a copy of the details by email which they did within 2 days. The email was four pages and summarized the instructions and requirements and fees payable with the timing of the fees.

Sure the powerpoint presentation contained pictures of Australia but the way I saw it, it was presented after the full process of applying and the fees were explained, to give us an idea what the country was all about. I know I appreciated it very much knowing little about the country.

When I left I understood the requirements and they made themselves available after the session for questions from individuals. I don't know what more I could have asked of them and maybe if you were unsure you could also have asked any pertinent questions of them. They were very helpful then as they are now.

The process is simple and it is not recruitment because we go to Australia as a student to finalize the last requirement of the registration process. Only then are we able to apply for work in Australia.

POEA does not handle students and you can easily check this with them if you wish and it also does not handle migration. We, when registered can migrate subject to meeting immigration requirements and this was all explained in the information session. Maybe you missed a little of this. When we migrate we can bring our families and if we decide to take an employer sponsorship we can bring our families with us, our partner can work without restriction and our children can go to school free. Our permanent residence includes our families, unlike the USA.

There is also a copy of the DFA approval for anyone who wishes to ask for it.

Of course a company can register as many do in the Philippines and any other country.

I hope this is of assistance and suggest if you have any queries you contact them again either by email directly to the director / CEO or go to the office. all your queries can be answered and the answers can be verified. What more can you ask for. Good luck! I hope you find the overseas life you are looking for.

Permanent residence in the US also includes spouses and children, not sure where you were told that they did not take them. That just is not true. Children go to public school here for free as well, and the spouses can work. Have no idea of where you are getting your information from for the US.

And you go over on a student visa, and your family will not be going with you in most cases. Not until you have completed your bridge program.

Have they also informed you of the state that you would be going to and what the living conditions would be like for you? And the time frame for when you would be going over? Remember that you still need to be accepted by the specific state as well as by the school program that you will be attending and no company can guarantee all of that right from the beginning, they do not issue the visas; only the government does.

And a red flag always goes off in my mind when a company asks you to check them out with a registration board, that is normally not done in any country like that.

The poster from March stated that they were not given any fees or a breakdown of them and that is what I am going by.

If a company is recruiting in your country, they need to be licensed by your country. Whether for a school, or a training program, or for whatever other reason, that is how your country does things. And you can call it as you want, they are still recruiting you, on the basis that one will get thru the bridge program and that is what it comes down to.

And you still have not proven why you are state they are reputable firm, based on what? Your experience with them? Or one or two associates that you know of? That still never makes any company reputable based on that.

I have no specific queries for them, just trying to make sure that everyone goes in with their eyes wide open to everything that they need to be aware of.

There are also many companies that do just this same type of work, they are far from being the only one. And each person needs to check out the company before they sign with them and not take the word of one person. They are responsible for doing their own homework, and getting every piece of information that they need.

There are also specific requirements that need to be met before one can qualify for the bridging program including having passed the NLE and having passed the IELTS exams before being able to even go over to Australia.

And if this company has done so many placements, then they would be very well known in your country right from the start, and everyone would be knocking on their doors.

Yup! I've tried ASNC and this consultancy group has helped a lot with my plans to go to Australia. I am 3/4 done with all the process. I just need to get my medicals done.

So I would have to definitely say that ASNC is true and not a fake...:bowingpur Now you know!:yeah:

It is not a point of them being fake, but one always must do their homework before signing or agreeing to anything.

And the original poster to this thread was stating that she did not get the information right away up front and she was worried because of it.

They are also consultants, and that is what there agency is called. They do not provide visas or anything else like that, that is done by the government and them alone.

The Consutancy arranges the visas and submits the application to immigration. Of course only immigration grants the visa everyone knows that, but they use registered migration agents for the processing, unless of course you are applying for a tourist visa yourself and qualify for it.

Yes it is up to each person to decide for themselves and it appears you have made a decision.

The consultancy offers 7 different options for Australia, and recommends the one most suitable to the applicant but at no time forces anyone to take the preferred option. they have always been more than accommodating to my friend and I.

The poster from march did say they received the information.

Anyway those who follow their dreams and have a strong purpose will always be successful.

Living conditions in Australia were explained and the differences in climate as well. Al services are provided by them including relocation after registration, orientation etc. These are major concerns for anyone going to live in another country.

Good luck with your quest. I hope you find a suitable method of achieving your dream. Mine is almost complete now.

Dear LibraRN,

The process is simple, you take your documents including degree, TOR inc hrs per subject, birth cert, Passport if you have, PRC orig registration certificate, current registration license, Marriage certificate if married or proof of change of name and if you have worked you will need a properly worded reference from the employer.

You wil need IELTS band of 7 with 7 for writing and speaking and 6.5 min for listening and reading. (one option requires 7 in all elements)

Docs are submitted by ASNC to the nursing council who gives permission to prove your competency (this is the bridging course), then there are a few options.

The best is the fast track which involves a test in Manila/Davao/Cebu and a second test in Australia after passing the first. both are one day tests. If you do not pass every module on the tests (there are 4) you study the failed modules online form home in the Philippines (no cost of accommodation etc in Aus). This is great for us Filipinos.

Prices quoted include assessment, test fees, air fare one way, 4 weeks accom, airport pick up, 3 months health insurance, opening bank accounts, applying for TFN(like TIN in Phil), review material for the tests, all you need to do is to go to their office and they will give you the details and prices. The prices commence arround AUD $8500 including all the abve but not the study modules.

Good luck and hope to see you in Australia too.

I just like to comment on this topic because I'm very much interested in going to australia.. DO us nurses need work experience to be able to apply for this student program? I have zero experience and I want to try my luck down under..

Specializes in ICU, Coronary ward.
