Hi everyone,
Nope, I'm not moving. I'm just busy with my family's activities this weekend (hangin in there).:hngon: Thank goodness, I'm
through the hardest part. Both games are over. The kids did very well, I am a proud momma.
I also turned out to be the loudest screaming maniacal momma :scrm:. Oops! :imbar Perhaps you've seen someone like me before. The woman who is all calm and sedate, then her child gets to the batters box. He hits the ball, and just watches the ball roll . . . :scrm: And there I am screaming run. Run. RUNNNNNNNN!!!!! And I also found out what the rest of the parents look like when they see a parent like me :chuckle :stone.
Geez, I can't even play that one off like it never happened . There I am. Hubby on the other hand has a lot of sense. He just keeps snapping the photos. My hubby is quite the focused calm person in the marriage
.
Any whoosie, I'm done with the coffee, I think . Yeah, probably so. Hmmm, no more caffine for me today. Nope, I'm done.
Well, I'll keep you posted with any other antics I manage to get myself into . My husband says living with me can be compared to the "I love Lucy" television show. I personally don't think so, but, sometimes, I am a bit over the top . . .
I think.?

I couldn't live without my coffee Gentle. At least you didn't make a big scene where you got into a fight with other parents or the coach. :)
Hmmm, well, since you brought up the subject, no I didn't :wink2:. However, there were apparently 2 ladies at the Closing Day Ceremonies who ended up in a cursing match :argue:. Hubby said that he watched the exchange . (Again, the calm, focused partner in the marriage.) Luckily, I was no where around to witness that one; of course, it is probable that I would have put in my
. After all the Closing Day Ceremonies for T-ball and Baseball were for all the 100+ children present-ages 5 through 13. The ladies arguing were in the dug out closest to the youngest players: 50+ children for the T-ball teams, age 5-6.
The other people cleared out of the dug out when the hollering started. My dear sweet unassuming hubby
unobtrusively stood on the other side of the dug out and witnessed the "discussion". The umpire
came to encourage the ladies to leave or stop; however, apparently he didn't want to get in the middle of a potential "cat fight". Dear sweet unassuming hubby
agreed with the umpire's non-verbal actions and they both decided to watch the cursing match!
Thank You Lord. I am so glad I was parking the car and wandering around trying to find my babies and Dolly (hubby's pet name). By the time I found everyone the :argue: had ended . I sat down next to one of the ladies never knowing what had just happened. I was just glad to find a seat in the shade
.
Well, if a hair pulling fist fight had happened I'm sure I would be privey to all the photos. Our neighbor is the neighborhood's Little League photographer . Seriously, he would have been glad to snap any photos needed for the newspapers
.
You know guys and gals, this has been an absolutely fun weekend. Today, we took the boys to play miniature golf, drove go-carts, played in water bumper boats and had water fights. Since I was the only adult out there my children and the other kids cornered me under the squirting water. I was wet wet wet. We :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle. Ds1's party was delish with all kinds of foods and sweets. Then back home. A nap for me, the pool for the kids. It has been a good weekend. And school is almost done--8 more days.
Hope everyone is well.

Good morning everyone,
I got an early start to my day. I've already done my DDr game on playstation for thirty minutes and now I'm moving on to my Jackie Warner DVD. I did the upper body portion of this dvd the other night just to see how I would feel after and my arms ached and I was only using 3 pound weights. I don't know if anyone here knows who Jackie warner is. She has a tv show on Bravo called Workout. She's a fitness instructor, normally charges like 400 bucks per session.I think I am definately getting my money's worth. So anyhow, I'm going to do the whole dvd this morning. Hope everyone has a great day.
Gentle - I am the calm one in our marriage when it comes to sports. And my husband, as an umpire of many years, would have tossed those two "ladies" out. He does not put up with any shenanigans at all. Period.
Sounds like you all are moving along - health wise. Glad to "read" it.
I'm starting on another attempt to lose the weight I've gained after my last attempt at losing weight. The "love handles" over the top of my jeans and my stereotypical middle-aged women's gut are just too ugly to look at. I was at my daughter's last band concert last night and saw a reflection and my heart sunk. I remember my boyfriend in high school had the sweetest mom but she had this weird large upper abdomen and everywhere else was thin. Almost like she was preggers. It bugged me - typical teenager. Now I realize it is the "menopausal stomach". sigh . .
I'm hungry all the time - and tired.
Oh well, I've done it before . . . (oh dear here comes a hot flash . . . ).

Hey gentle, although you're busy as a beaver building a new home, at least you're not having to build a new home of your own . We added on a few years ago and boy, was it stressful. I'd rather be outside playing than stuck indoors looking at carpet samples, UGH! Glad your toe is better :). Your baseball stories make me laugh. We must belong to a much more sedate league. We have one dad who is ummm, rather involved, but the rest of the parents are very good at cheering--whether the kids deserve it, or not, LOL.
Michigan, about the Warner DVD. Is it a dancing one or more exercise? I am, to put it mildly, not that coordinated. No way can I translate what somebody else is doing (esp. when they're moving quickly) to doing it myself. Running, walking, hiking, things that I can push through, I do great at, but at classes, I'm always moving the wrong hands, the wrong way, etc.
Tweety, what movie did you see? I know you don't run so much, but I read that a lot of runners are using yoga stretching to counteract the contractiveness (is that a word?) of running muscles.
Zoe, we took care of a family member for years. It was incredibly stressful. I don't know to what degree you're caring for your dad, but make sure you take care of yourself first. There's a lot of things I wish I had known and done differently. {{{{{Zoe}}}}}
Stevie, I know what you mean about the jelly belly. I always felt sorry for the moms when I was a teenager; gee, how could anybody let themselves go like that . Now, I know exactly how that happens, sigh.

Its more toning with weights. There is some cardio but not a whole lot. I just finished the lower body portion of the dvd and it was killer. I could keep up with the pace though. I'll do the rest of the dvd later on today. I'm hungry and trying to decide what to eat right now.
Michigan, that DVD sounds good. I think I'll pick up a copy. I've got another DVD that focuses on strength that I like, but it's not awfully intense; a great one to begin with, though. But, I'm feeling tough enough to move on up :). Safe enough to say from the privacy of my own home and not at the gym .

Yep . . . .I was very judgmental as a teenager. But 4 babies (the last by cesarean) means a jelly belly.

Hi guys, stressing a bit w/ my dad's illness and trying to do what I can to help him, which means I am coping w/ food sometimes
Definitely have to work on limit setting as I just cannot do long stretches w/ him, he gets SO irritable and expects me to read his mind - which irritates him when I misread his signals. Not bashing him, just saying, it's quite stressful sometimes!!
What do you mean, did I miss something? Are you moving?
((((( Gentle )))))))
Sounds like a great balance Tweety!
