Sarah, sounds like school clinicals are going well. Any nurses eating their young yet and spitting out out. We love doing that.

Nope - so far so good. I think I can take it though, after all I do work for Social Services - hehe.

Hi everyone - glad only part of you eat your young, being as how I am one and all, hehe. :p

Well, I was surprisingly good yesterday, and it was hard too because I had a training and you know what type of foods they love to bring to trainings - donuts, muffins, etc. So, I ate before the training and enjoyed some meat and veggies and a huge glass of water. No training snacking for me. :)

I'm sure I got in my exercise yesterday (as well as quite a bit of stretching - hehe) because we were trying to install a new kitchen sink. Hint: it's not as easy as it looks or sounds and I'm sure my hubby decided I was nuts for bringing it home in the first place. But all is well, and now we have a really pretty, non-leaking sink with a faucet that doesn't drip - WooHoo!!!

Have a happy, healthy day y'all!

Wow this thread moves fast...

Hello to all that said hi.

This morning I found out that I scored enough on the med-surg ATI test to get enough extra points to put my Adult Health 2 score up to an A (95%). If we scored above the 90th national percentile, we got several percentage points added to the grade. Good times.

Today I am not going to the gym, but I am going to indulge in a time-honored past time used to mark the end of a quarter - drinking strong Belgium ales, particularly Delerium Tremens [what a great name for a beer]. Then I plan to kick off my week break by hitting the gym the next three days, starting on all the reading for peds next quarter, and seeing a few patients interested in herbs. Oh, and spending time OUTSIDE with my son.

I love active relaxation.

It actually is one of the smaller threads - try the Good Morning threads which are started every day - people check in and there is (usually) a lot of good humor.

Congrats on the A, the relaxation, the ale (you're right, strange name - lol), the time with your son, and the herbage.

I ate before the training and enjoyed some meat and veggies and a huge glass of water. No training snacking for me. :)

(also), now we have a really pretty, non-leaking sink with a faucet that doesn't drip - WooHoo!!!

Have a happy, healthy day y'all!

I bet Blue is gonna HATE you (re the "quick sinK"ing)

Congrats on the self-restraint!

Sarah -I am jealous! NEXT time we have a leaky anything, I want to have you and your husband come do the plumbing repair! Maybe we can trade services - DH is quite good in the electrical department, has changed out every one of our ceiling fans, put in new plugs in places where there wasn't one, swapped out all the light switches for those nice rocker switches, etc., and all to code! :yelclap: Sounds like you can add the title 'Contortionist' to your skills list! lol! Strong work on your eating well in training!!!!!!!!

Tweety - Cool you are so close to the end! Are you taking your last 2 classes at the same time, now, or the next set of classes starting 4/30? I am supposed to be receiving my papers from FHCHS this week. Am SO ready to get registered and get going, now that I have made the decision to go! Great doggie photo, too! :studyowl:

Josh - My husband loves ales, especially IPA's. Will have to watch for this one and give it a try!

Muffie - you go, girl!

Hey Zoe! Hope you are staying warm.

Hi to everyone I missed!

Came home from work after just a couple of hours. Cold meds are kicking in - time for a nap!

LOL - Muffie, I know just what you mean. I ate good while my co-workers went to the new bakery in town to get their "free opening day donuts" - what is up with that? They are trying to punish me. Anyway, I had some celery sticks instead of a donut - mmmm: celery.

Blue - it only took several catastrophic moments to get us in and I certainly wouldn't pay me for the labor, but thanks. :D My hubby is awesome in the electrical dept. too (much more so than the plumbing - hehe), he used to do electrical work (not home, but still) for a living, so yeay! Maybe our men should go in business together, hehe.

Thanks Zoe!

Hi Josh! Don't know how I missed you. Anyway, you can join in my saga then - I too am in Med/Surg, but I am a first-year student, you?

Hope I am not missing anybody, gosh this is a busy place. :) If I am, sorry, and Hi!

Josh, enjoy yourself, you've earned it.

Blue, take care and get well soon. Thanks for checking in.

Olive oil is delicate. I use it to satuee but don't heat it up to high, just about med-high.
