This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.

It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!

Etravel, it has never affected my eating before either. I think it is because I am having personal emotional issues and my gut is just a mess along with the spring break. I feel so nerve-wracked and my heart keeps pounding (although not racing because I have been checking it periodically - LOL). It's not a good feeling, but I have got to get my head screwed back on straight and I think someone needs to slap me - haha! Seriously - women aren't supposed to reach a mid-life crisis at 27, right? I don't know what my problem is. Hopefully I get over it quickly! Hopefully the end of spring break will bring a resolution to my problems by halting my wandering mind . . .

Glad your Dad is still doing great and glad you can be there to administer his eye drops. Dads can be stubborn that way. :)

Oops - I am late.

Tweety - looks like Blue took care of the slapping - yeay! I will spare you a second whack if you promise to "snap out of it" LOL! Seriously though, I hope you are feeling better. It is really hard to get out of the blues once you get into a slump. I feel like I am headed in that direction and I'm trying desperately to stay afloat! I promise to throw you a rope, but you have to do the same for me here in about a week because I think I'm sinking. ;)

Etravel, that is rather confusing with the state and the city, but now it makes total sense. Glad your Dad is doing well!

Blue, sounds like you are getting on track rather well there with curves and the salad - WooHoo!!!

Hiker, fish tacos just sound horrible to me, but I am not a fish person, so you are brave to even contemplate tryinig - LOL!

And me, I seem to be in a constant state of anxiety since I started spring break. I can't snap out of it, it's horrible! I can't sleep, I can barely eat (which is good for my weight, but it's getting old because I keep getting light-headed and I know it's not healthy - I keep forcing myself to eat something every once in a while just so I don't make myself ill), and I seem to be sticking my foot in my mouth constantly. I might as well walk around with it there - it's horrible! I thought I would really enjoy a break, but I can't wait to get back to class next week and get my life back on track. Yikes!

Anyway, if I missed anybody, sorry and Hi!

Take care and have a great weekend everybody!

Okay, your symptoms just beg the question..... Is your family about to expand? Are you sure?

Blue, I know what you mean. Last night I came home and heated up some veggie chicken nuggets. Not good.

:)

Sarah, you need a "snap out of it" slap. LOL

Zoe.....let me know how you do with the rollerblades. I have never liked the look of em. In fact, I don't like anything to come between my feet and the ground.

I will let you know how it is! As a vertically challenged person I LOVE standing taller ... ha ha.

I haven't been on skates of any kind since my son was 3 ish, except for one time when he was about 12. We went to this store and they had rollerblades for sale, and I tried them on. I got angry because my son wanted me to buy him some TOO, and he already had fairly new ones, but he pitched a fit and we left without any. OH was I mad, thinking, "the stuff I bought for HIM while I bought hardly anything for myself -- the little spoiled BRAT!!" ... (yes, mommies do get resentful sometimes!). I got over it ... (chuckling at myself ... those were the days)

Anyway, I was actually able to stand up and skate a little bit right away (in the store, I'm sure they loved it ...). The balance factor was much better than with ice skates and regular roller skates. Don't know why.

Seriously - women aren't supposed to reach a mid-life crisis at 27, right? I don't know what my problem is. :)

Actually I was 25 when I hit MY mid-life crisis so it COULD happen lol - glad I got it over with early ;)

How bad is "not good"?

How bad is "not good"?

On a scale of 1-10 about a 6. Not horrible as it was no cholesterol or saturated fats. Bad because it was a processed food, blah blah blah. A fresh salad, some steamed veggies and some beans and rice would have been better.

It shows in my low energy level that I'm on one of my down cycles in my cyclical personality. :jester:

{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}} At least you didn't blow it entirely!

I hope you feel better :balloons: (I would give you the flowers smiley but couldn't find it!)

Get resentful sometimes? I am still resentful........my very spoiled dtr come home with her hand out everytime she and her husband make a poor financial deal. Finally sat her down and explained that the bank of mommy was closed.......for good..........now if I can just keep the pics of the grandkids out of my head when she informs me she is needy or broke.....lol

Gosh I can only imagine, now that Tommy is 19 the only reason I don't bail him out (no, not jail - YET!) is that I don't HAVE the $ - and thank God I don't - because they will never learn that they have to depend on themselves and that THEY are responsible for those little lives! Wow, that would kill me too.

AND you just reminded me by your following post on the rollerblades - I forgot to go to the used sports equipment store to see if THEY have any (the Sal Army store had a ton but none fit...) If the sports store doesn't have any I'll have to break down and get some new ones - which would be better anyway - "used shoes" are not the greatest idea ...

Hi to all!

Sarah - still waiting to hear your reply................. But if that's not the reason you are wobbling mentally, then {{{{{{{Sarah}}}}}}}. Actually, hugs anyway!

Zoe - you are a MUCH braver woman than I! I prefer to keep my clutzy feet firmly on the ground.

Hiker - any hikes this weekend? DH and I went on one yesterday, legs are a little sore today but not bad.

Estravelrn - we are kindred spirits when it comes to rollerblades! Oh, and strong work on closing 'the bank of mommy'! My MIL took YEARS before she would do that to one of her children (not DH!). It cut out a LOT of family resentment, including issues with DD she cut off. Funny, you would have thought DD would have been more upset, but she wasn't really. I think her husband was more the problem, and DD was grateful to not have to be in the middle of all that any more.

I've been better the last few days. I think that 'biggest loser' contest coming up at work is keeping me a little more focused at the moment. Whatever it takes. Cash appears to be a good motivator at the moment.

:roll

Hi to those I missed.

Hope you all are doing okay! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
