Published

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

Im suprised more people have not posted here :(

Specializes in CNA so far.

Sad to say I'm finished with all my prerequisite courses but can't seem to get a 60 or above on the teas I don't think the teas v manual is as in depth as I need and I will be taking it for the 3rd time in July hopefully the last time. I need some other suggestions I am super overwhelmed í ½í¸”

I'm applying for Spring, will be turning in my application next week. My GPA isn't great. Have around a 3.4 and I passed the TEAS about 2 months ago but i'll be taking it again just because i'm applying to a few other programs that require a 78 on the TEAS. I'm nervous. I applied to USF second degree and upper division programs for the Fall but didn't get into either program, I'm sure it was because of my GPA so i'm concerned

Hi I want to know how do I start for the Nursing at HCC. What are the steps? Like how to enroll to do the pre-reqs? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone I am applying for Spring. I have a 3.62 GPA and I have passed the TEAs. Completing the application now. Excited to find out in a couple months!

Isaanp- you should meet with an adviser to help you decide which classes to take and when to take them.

I just took my Teas5 and passed, but I'm going to take it again. I'm very worried about not getting accepted. My first few years of college I was fine with a C. Now I am paying for it... With a 2.8 Gpa. I have an undergraduate degree and many years of valuable work experience. I wish other factors played a role into our admission. I really doubt I will get in with that GPA. Best of luck to everyone.

May I ask where you're taking your class online?

Hi everyone I'm applying for spring too. I've passed TEAs with pretty low score. So I talked to adviser of the program, and she said they are going to count on you grade only after you passed. I see that you are going to take the teas again. Don't do it again if you already passed. ;) Wish you luck ;)

Just turned in my application yesterday fingers crossed !

I should me turning mine in sometime next week :D What is everyone's gpa? If you dont mind me asking. Im at 3.44 and verrrrrryyyyy scared that it might not be high enough. But we'll see!

Well my pre req GPA is also around that 3.48 . it makes me really nervous as well I feel that its not high enough :arghh:

Hello All,

I will be applying to the 2017 Spring program as well. I will be turning my application in at the end of this week. I wanted to wait and post till after I took the Teas V and passed :) I am a little confused on what my Pre req GPA is at this moment as I earned a BA already and some of those courses counted towards my pre reqs and full filled the rest thru HCC. Does anyone know if the institutional GPA listed on the academic eval summary ( the progress toward degree checklist in web advisor) includes the transfer credits within that GPA?
