Hi all, I applied to the nursing program at HCC for spring 2010 and I was wondering if there is anybody who might have done the same thing. At this point I'm extremely anxious trying to find out if I got accepted or how long will it take for them to decide it??? Does anyone know anything???? I appreciate any replies. :uhoh21:
I'm guessing the committee might be meeting this week. I was told mid sept and letters sent out at the end of sept. also received an email stating that documents were entered into webadvisor "my documents" section. Everyone should check theirs to make sure the information is correct. Mine was not and I am still fighting to have it updated correctly.
Lactnet: What info are you trying to correct?
I just saw the updates on my webadvisor last week, I seem to have the documents needed entered into the system... but I am concerned about some prereq courses that I took from another college. They have different course numbers/course name. Those are not showing up on my transcripts. Has anyone come across this? I saw an advisor regarding prereqs & she strongly discouraged me from repeating courses.. I'd be devastated if I didn't get in for that reason.
I am so tired of waiting.. when I started my prereq's last spring (2008) the advisor told me that a 3.30 gpa would have a good chance at getting in. But since the fall 09 gpa has gone up, I'm a bit worried. I was told that spring gpa cut offs are lower than fall, but who knows... What is everyones gpa, if you dont mind sharing.
I'm trying to correct a pre-req mess up by their dept. It says I don't have the all pre-req's completed which of course is incorrect. I think it happened b/c they didn't take the time to correctly look at my transcripts along with what I have from HCC. I was told I might have to take it up with the grievance committee after they have sent me a denial letter! I will take it up with the g-com but I also will be sending several letters to the pres and dean letting them know that it is unfair to penalize me b/c someone entered information incorrectly into the system. It's one thing if it was my fault another if it was on their end. KWIM

I'm sorry to hear that. How did you find out that "the prereqs aren't all completed"? Whatever I am worrying about is what you are going thru right now. Also, my instructor submitted an incorrect grade for one of the prereq's at HCC and I emailed the dean of student affairs. He responded right away, my grade was changed in 1 week. Hope it works out for you, keep us posted.
Hi all, I looked up at the My documents page and they seemed to have everything they need from me except a transcript from St. Pete College where I took organic I and II a while ago. I just did it because I freaked out as soon as I saw that. Also, my app status changed from Health Sciences Program applicant to AS-applicant/ADN Basic. I'm sooo excited/nervous that I can't wait to get an answer from them. I'll keep you guys posted as soon as I receive anything in the mail or by any means. Thanks for all the info, good luck to you all and keep you hopes up!!!:wink2::wink2::wink2:
