HCC Applicants for Spring 2010

Hi all, I applied to the nursing program at HCC for spring 2010 and I was wondering if there is anybody who might have done the same thing. At this point I'm extremely anxious trying to find out if I got accepted or how long will it take for them to decide it??? Does anyone know anything???? I appreciate any replies. :uhoh21:

So.. another letter was mailed out to applicants stating that the committee will meet in September. Again, I did not get this letter in the mail. Am I the only one that HCC keeps on missing when sending out letters?

i haven't gotten that letter yet. i did get the campus choice one though. hopefully my letter is on its way!

no your not the only one. I never received the campus choice one. I just made a copy of a friends and sent it in. I still think it's completely wrong to make us wait until the end of sept to hear anything. I'm taking a math class to try and raise my gpa this fall- wish i really knew if I had to take it.

I haven't received the letter yet either. I can't believe it takes so long for them to decide.

I hate the wait! So we will find something out in September that's better then what I have heard. Late October to a few weeks until classes actually start. I'm crossing my fingers. In the meantime I am taking an EMT-B program at Southshore...anyone else?

has anyone else gotten this other letter? i went away for a few days and returned to no letter in the mailbox.

I recieved an email from the nursing department after I inquired about when they would be letting us know- I was told they meet mid Sept. and send letters in Late Sept. So we ill know then!

They only look at your core classes when computing your gpa, a&p, Micro, Sociology, etc. I don't think the math even counts, unless you have the same grades as others, then they start looking at your other classes.

Wow, I got the campus choice, but no letter about Sept. meeting, however she did email me with this same information. But only because I emailed the dept. asking when I would know!

i hope the math doesn't count. thats what has me really worried. guess we'll find out soon, at least i hope!

when i sat with the hcc rep. the first time i inquired about nursing, she counted my math as part of the core courses and gpa. trust me i wish it didnt count either lol...but it does
