HCC Applicants for Spring 2010

Hi all, I applied to the nursing program at HCC for spring 2010 and I was wondering if there is anybody who might have done the same thing. At this point I'm extremely anxious trying to find out if I got accepted or how long will it take for them to decide it??? Does anyone know anything???? I appreciate any replies. :uhoh21:

Just another stupid part of this process... Why would they have you include an FDLE background check consent form with the original application, then make you fill out more information for the search later? Is this form time sensitive? If so, what is the deadline? Apparently I have to bring my ID to the campus in order to retrieve my student number... Sigh...

When is orientation? Is it tomorrow, Tuesday, NOvember 17 or is it Wed and Thurs and what time and building at Dale Mabry campus.

Orientation is Wed and Thurs at Dale Mabry Campus from 830-430. I believe its held in the confrence room directly behind the admissions desk. Im sure they will have signs posted as to where we need to go.

Does anyone have any idea what we could possibly be doing that takes 16 hours and 2 days to complete..? I bet this is all info that can be emailed.

I'm tired of waiting.. I dont even think I'm excited anymore...

Yeah, 2 days of orientation? lol - I need to prepare my mind.

So I'll do nothing and think about nothing today...

after tomorrow, we'll be shopping for school stuff... :)

Yeah, I am ready for the next two days to be over with. I can't imagine what could possibly take two days. Maybe we will get out early each day.

I'm looking through my Hawkmail account and have no information for the background check...? I'm looking at my acceptance letter and it says I have to have it completed prior to this stupid orientation..! Any ideas!?

why dont you email the program assistant? although its too late by now.. you might as well just ask tomorrow.

anyway, i PMed you the email so you can see it. Dont order it though, maybe you dont need it and can be spared the $63.

I appreciate the email. This program already seems to have more problems than any I've seen... I hope this is the worst we see!

*I just checked the original application on the HCC website, it reads: The Nursing Application fee has been raised to $53.00. This includes the FDLE Consent Form Fee.

So what exactly was the $63 for...?

I agreed with you. However, on the acceptance letter stated that we do require to proceed the background check.

I received the email and the link for the background screening site from program assistant on Monday- 16th. I filed it immediately and paid $63.

I just received the report back this afternoon and I'm going to print them out in case they need a copy tomorrow. I hope you can talk to Program Assistant tomorrow about your issue and not receiving the email from her.

I received the email about the background check and immediately completed it and paid. I haven't received the results yet though, I hope I did everything right!
