HCC Applicants for Spring 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi all, I applied to the nursing program at HCC for spring 2010 and I was wondering if there is anybody who might have done the same thing. At this point I'm extremely anxious trying to find out if I got accepted or how long will it take for them to decide it??? Does anyone know anything???? I appreciate any replies. :uhoh21:

drmazur,

Just wondering if you could provide us the ISBN# or the edition for the Perry & Potter, so that we could study ahead and prepared ourselves for the nursing calculations. Thanks a bunch!

The ISBN for te Kee Clinical calc book is 978-1-4160-4740-7. If you do purchase this so you can start studing, just know that when you buy the box of required books, it is included in that also. I bought it in advance and have to say it helps. Anything you can read before hand will help since the amount of reading you do is crazy.

Thank you so much for the info. :yeah:

Hello everyone. Congrats if you have already been accepted, I know it was a long road.

I was wondering if anyone knows any of the professors at HCC SouthShore campus for A&P II.

I hear the professor I am signed up for @ Plant City is pretty tough. I hear Lab is Ok with another professor, but not lecture. Couldn't find anything on ratemyprofessor.com

Any suggestions would be great.

Specializes in Peds, Med-Surg, Disaster Nsg, Parish Nsg.

terms of service reminder

several posts in this thread have been edited as they contained names of instructors which is in violation of the terms of service of this site. the terms of service states:

while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

  1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
  2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names (or initials) where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

thank you for your cooperation.

Hey I looked under my profile on hawknet and it states my completion date for nursing is 11/2013???? I thought it was a two year program??? And still nothing under my email re: the background check.........With orientation next week has anyone emailed or spoken with HCC about the background check? Thanks

Hi,

I check my hawkmail twice a day, but there is no mail or information from the nursing department about the background check. About the completion date- the length for this program is 2 years, and it stated nothing under my profile in hawkmail. I'm a new student to HCC and I'm not sure if there is anything to do with my status.

I just got an email from the program assistant dept. She said that the background info will be available on Monday. So we get a weekend w/o checking hawkmail. :p

Check your HawkNet email. I got the background check infomation today.

I love the funky signing pad thing

I haven't signed into HawMail in such a long time I'm not sure what my access information is.... Is there any action required with the HawkMail background information? I thought all that was taken care of with the initial application?

no, you need to log on to the background screening site and fill in the info and pay more for the background check!!
