I agreed with you. However, on the acceptance letter stated that we do require to proceed the background check. I received the email and the link for the background screening site from program assistant on Monday- 16th. I filed it immediately and paid $63. I just received the report back this afternoon and I'm going to print them out in case they need a copy tomorrow. I hope you can talk to Program Assistant tomorrow about your issue and not receiving the email from her. Good Luck!

Hi, I check my hawkmail twice a day, but there is no mail or information from the nursing department about the background check. About the completion date- the length for this program is 2 years, and it stated nothing under my profile in hawkmail. I'm a new student to HCC and I'm not sure if there is anything to do with my status.

Yes, I remember that. The background check is a part of the nursing application before we submitted to the Health Sciences Admission. However, on the acceptance letter stated that "Please check your Hawk Mail Account periodically for information on how to complete the required background check. You will be responsible for the cost of this background check. Please be aware that failure to complete the background check prior to the schedule orientation will result in forfeiture of your seat in the program" So, I was just wondering if anyone has received an email about the background check, or am I missing something in Hawk Mail? I just need to get all the paperworks done prior the next week Orientation. Please assist. Thanks.

Hi Sunnyj1, I also received the bill from Rutgers. I called last friday to find out my financial aid information. My application is still in pending, it needed to be evaluated from an financial aid advisor. The clerk advised me to call back in a week or so to find out the status. The tuition deadline is May 15. Please let me know if you have heard anything from the financial office. Thanks.
