Hi all, I applied to the nursing program at HCC for spring 2010 and I was wondering if there is anybody who might have done the same thing. At this point I'm extremely anxious trying to find out if I got accepted or how long will it take for them to decide it??? Does anyone know anything???? I appreciate any replies. :uhoh21:
I got my acceptance letter today, woohoo! Hopefully you all will receive yours today or Monday too. I got a form to accept/decline my seat, but it said you will not receive your campus assignment for another few weeks. Good luck everyone!
Hi lmt2000,
I got my acceptance letter yesterday and today I went to DM campus to drop off the confirmation form. I'm a new student to HCC and have no idea how to communicate with "HawkNet".
I have couples of questions to ask.
1. Have you received a background check documentation from the department via hawkmail?
2. Have you done your CPR certification? If so, Could you please provide some information.
Thank you so much for your time.
...went to Hawkmail account and there's no email regarding the background check. Here we go again, around the HCC administration wheel of life-and-death! Where does it begin and does it ever end? =-)
Same here, DM Campus.
Wondering if anyone has received an email regarding the background check? and where can we obtain a CPR cert?
I went through HCC continuing ed. for the CPR class

Most of the books come in a bundle. They will also have you buy additional books, 2 or 3 of them, and they give you a ton of recommended books. There is no way you will have the time ot read the recommended books so don't waste your $$. I cost me close to close to $2,000 the first semester for class and book fees. You get a list of books during orientation and a rep from the company comes to talk to you. You find out which campus you are assigned to during orientation also. With the exception of the nights/weekend program, it's first come first serve as to whether you get the Am or the PM class. For us, they opened the course so we could begin registering the last day of orientation.
