HCC ADN Fall 2008 Applicants

Published

Anyone applying to Houston Community College for the fall? I signed up today for the HESI. I am scheduled to take it on 3/29. If I do well, they will place me into the summer pharmacology course. I am a little nervous. I would love to hear from any students that are in the program. Any tips on the HESI & the Pharm. class would be helpful! The thought of it... ahhh it boggles my mind! LOL

Thanks!

They make it sound LIKE as if we made it this far then we all get in??? I HOPE SOO! :)

Mels: How did you do on the test? I can't wait this to get this over with to RELAX for a little bit.

Got a B.....I'll take it!!!

I won't be able to relax until I get that letter....

Good Luck on your test!!!

Thats awesome!!! Good job! I'll let yall know on saturday how I do.

I ended up with a high B overall, so I am happy. But, this does mean that I no longer have a 4.0 (boo hoo)

Congrats Jason!! Seems like all the A students are coming out with B's ;) this is a VERY tough course so I will be happy with that too!!

This last test was the easiest test from all 3, I don't know about saturday's final but we had GI/Nutrition, Antibiotics, & Immune. I ended up with a B in the class. And I asked mrs. Mosqueda if they round off and said yes. SO i hope they do!

txgirl I tried to IM u but it's full.....:uhoh21:

its empty now! lol sorry!

Does anyone know how much the whole program will be...books and classes and whatever else they add on

I think that will be given to you in orientation. It changes every semester since price changes as well.

Specializes in Progressive Care.

Edit: Alvin Community College states that the cost is $5,000 for all nursing courses, which includes tuition, books, supplies, fees, etc. That figure is "all inclusive" but does not include the cost for non-nursing courses.

I would use this as a "go-by" figure since their programs are similar.

They said around $5000..but i figured that it was just the tuition they were talking about.

i actually bought my books and i spent around $200 and that was just the required. and if you are like me, i have to have the recommended books and all those "good" stuff because for some reason my mind just doesn't want to absorb anything anymore:chuckle

and of course we have to think about the parking fees and all those miscellaneous things we need to have along the way, just so our life will be a little easier:heartbeat
