Hey everyone! I decided to start a thread for new graduate nurses applying to the Summer 2020 cohorts! Next week I'll be starting my final semester and graduating in May with my BSN.

Hopsitals in the HCA system include:

  • Redmond Regional Medical Center (Rome,GA)
  • Cartersville Medical Center
  • Eastside Medical Center (Snellville,GA)

Through their application you can apply to 2 of the 3 hopsitals and you may select and rank your top 3 specialities of interest.

Start dates are as follows:

  • June 15th
  • July 13th
  • August 10th

My top 3 specialities of interest are:

  • ICU
  • ED
  • NICU

I selected Cartersville & Redmond. My top 3 were: NICU,Mother/Baby & Pediatrics. I will be graduating in May as well with my ADN. I start my final semester Jan. 21.

I selected Cartersville and Redmond as well! Best of luck to you in your upcoming semester!

Pinning is May 8th and Graduation is May 9th so I'll more than likely select the July start date as it's ideal for taking NCLEX, working my last few shifts as a patient care technician and maybe taking a graduation trip!

They actually contacted me and said they haven’t started interviewing for summer yet. I think they reached out in error maybe? But the application was definitely for Spring semester graduates!

Oh yes! I got the same email. I thought they had actually started interviewing.

I just got an email today about attending the hiring event. Interviews will be conducted at the end of this month. Best of luck to everyone!
