I recently applied to Hawaii Pacific University for Fall 2017 and I am having a hard time finding any RECENT information or people in the same boat. Anxiously waiting for a letter or email (I have no idea which one) for a "yes" or "no"
A little bit about myself: I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman and separated two years ago to pursue nursing, and before the Navy I was a CNA. I have completed most of my pre-reqs at Hawaii Pacific and have taken scattered college over the past ten years because of moving around a lot. Hoping to meet and share experiences with others who have applied to HPU's BSN program or HPUs HM to BSN program (I applied to both), or even those who are in the program now.
Congrats mrszab90! Hopeful2017% I don't believe that degree works will change automatically, in the past accepted students have had to see their advisors to submit a change of major before registering. Has anyone else heard yet?
I still haven't received anything, however the address it's being sent to is in Montana. You'd think they would also send an email, it is the 21st century! Congrats to those who were accepted!
Check your "my.hpu" email, I got a invite for an event this Monday for the BSN program. Maybe if you have the same email you'll know that you were accepted, but also if you didn't receive it, I wouldn't get discouraged until you have your physical letter. Crossing my fingers for you guys.
Good news! I was accepted to the program! What a relief! Never give up on a dream, this was the fourth college I applied to in the last year and a half and the only one that I was accepted to. Now, to prepare for the hard part. Best of luck to everyone!
Anyone who was accepted register for classes yet? I tried to register but an error popped up, I am meeting my advisor tomorrow though, curious if anyone else had an "error" for registering.
mrszab90, I didn't get an error but I did need to get a pin number from my advisor. Did you already take your Hawai'i and the Pacific class yet? If you did which class would you recommend? Thats the only class I need to take from common core.
I was able to register when I met with my advisor:) For that Gen-ed requirement I took HIST 1558 this semester online and it has been a easy, interesting class. I've actually enjoyed the material and the course work load is very light- weekly discussion/quiz/and two papers total.
