Seeing if anyone got excepted for Spring 2022 at HPU

Hi SamJz,

My pre-nursing major switched to nursing (BSN) two weeks ago on Degree Works. I didn't receive any email notification of the change though. Dare I consider it a good sign? Does that mean that I can register for nursing classes?

I applied for Spring 2022.

What was your GPA and TEAS score when you applied if you don't mind me asking? My TEAS score is making me nervous ?

Hi Faith96706,

I applied to HPU after completing a bachelor of science in a different discipline (GPA 4.0) and was accepted as a pre-nursing major. My prerequisite GPA was 4.0, and my TEAS score was 86%.

Like you, I worry that my TEAS score isn't competitive enough. I couldn’t take the test a second time before the submission deadline because I sustained a trauma that damaged bone along the semicircular canal of my right ear. 

I'm feeling a bit better now.

I have no idea what the change in major via Degree Works signifies. It may be a glitch, or something that happened because I satisfied the General Education requirements and nursing prerequisites. I hoped someone in the group knew what it meant. 

Keep in mind that I haven't received any email communication except to confirm that HPU received my application to the Spring 2022 BSN program. I think it's safe to assume that it has something to do with satisfying pre-nursing requirements. 

I'll keep you posted.

Hi guys.. I just checked my apps on the website and it says I’m accepted to PRE nursing. I wonder if this means I’m rejected to BSN

Hi Nina!

Everyone gets accepted to pre-nursing at HPU... you just have to wait and see if you actually get into the BSN program ? Their website states you have to be accepted into both.

I got an email yesterday from admissions saying we will get a notifications. First one saying accepted into HPU in general than she said amount a month after deadline the BSN notification

Try to do something lovely for yourself today. You know? If you fancy a slice of cake and a coffee with a friend: go for it. Consider your acceptance to pre-nursing as a win and celebrate making it over the first hurdle. ??

sorry for the delay just seen this .. but yes I noticed that mine switched as well before I got my email .. but could not register until I got the email saying that I could now register .. did you try to register for classes?

No … every one gets two acceptance one from the college that says prenursing and the other will be from the nursing program.. you get two acceptance.

Don’t give up hope you guys!! This is my second year applying to schools and I wanted to give up so bad! But I kept on applying and its finally happening. Keep your eye on the prize! My nerves were getting to me and I thought it would go away after I got in but now I am even more nervous ? LOL 

if you want it bad enough it will happen!! Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!
