I am starting my first job as cna in a hospital and I am aware that there will be a lot of walking and standing so I purchased some "comfortable shoes". Well I think they will be they are the Skechair with memory foam they feel great on my feet right now but I hope they continue to be that way when I am on the job. Have any of yall bought them or use them? What kind of shoes do you use at work?

In about two years, I've burned through four pairs of NurseMates. Love them.

I think if you do a quick search on this site, you'll find about a ton of threads on shoes!
Here's the answer to the VERY BEST shoes you'll EVER wear.....ready?.....
....whatever works best for your feet. Seriously.
Some people SWEAR by Danskos. Others hate them with a passion. Some people wear Cherokee....and others hate them. Some can wear inexpensive sneakers (with or without inserts) and others can't.
Some go through shoes every 4-6 months, others can't imagine needing to replace their faves in less than a year.
It's a bit like asking someone what the BEST underwear is to buy.....some like cotton briefs, some thongs....
You get the idea

This. I've been through 2 pairs of Crocs (the facility where I worked at the time allowed them), a pair each of Asics, Pumas, and now I alternate between a pair of Sauconys and a pair of Rykas. I did have a pair of Sketchers Shape-Ups but they eventually made my feet hurt and the particular design was impractical for working in the hospital plus my feet slipped terribly in the tub/shower room.
Finding shoes that worked for me was 100% trial and error, much like finding scrubs that worked for me. I'm fortunate enough to work in a hospital without a very strict, color-coded uniform guideline.
Yes well now I know that I need a little more cushion in my feet. My first night at the hospital which was Thursday I walked a lot and my feet hurt with those Skechers but hopefully I find what is best for me. Thank you for your comments.
