....when you feel like a blubbering idiot? :selfbonk:
i know that when we say "o2 sat" - we are talking about oxygen saturation. i guess my brain just thought it might be fun to blurt out "o2 stat" in front of the person doing my review later that day. gotta love those nerves! at least i can laugh at myself, right?
anyone have similar stories to share?

The other day my preceptor and I were looking at an x-ray as the doctor was explaining it. My big mouth pipes in and says, "Does that mean he has whipflash?". The doctor looked at me said, "whipflash?" Then started talking to my preceptor as if I wasn't there anymore. Soooooo embarassing!

Once I was in a patient's room, Mrs. Y, and she reminded me a lot of another patient I had taken care of a previous night, Mrs. X. So of course I'm in there and say, "Please take a deep breath, Mrs. X." Hipaa violation and embarrassment in one full swoop, what could be better?
