The owner is apparently someone who failed out of nursing school and is not a licensed nurse. There are multiple spelling, pronunciation and content errors that are subsequently corrected in later videos.

Buyer beware

He admits it....

Before Helping Hundreds of Struggling Nursing Students Reach Graduation Day & Before Becoming a Student Nurse Mentor & Certified EKG Instructor, I Myself Was A Struggling "At Risk"

Student Nurse Drowning In My Books & Lost In Clinical.

I was that struggling student working full time in the Emergency Room at one of those MEGA hospitals in Orange, California. I worked as an EMT aka a "medic" for 8 years prior to failing out. I knew how to take care patients, I knew the basics of the ABCs of basic life support, I knew how to take vital signs and how to fix minor injuries. I thought I had enough experience to skate right through nursing school, I remember thinking "how hard can it be" right?

After two semesters, I FAILED out of the Program.

I wouldn't buy anything from him, but he helped me out a bit in school just from watching his videos. He's pretty good in breaking things down.

Thanks for the warning!!

He does some good explanations but if you aren't aware he does get somethings wrong.

My textbooks get things wrong too! I had a teacher (Master's degree) in nursing school do a whole lecture on cateracts saying they were "in the cornea" (they are in the lens) - so who cares if he sometimes gets something wrong? I'm a visual learner and can tell if something is working for me or not.

I haven't used the simplenursing site, but I absolutely love Michael Linares and have watched many of his free youtube videos while going through nursing school. His videos are very helpful and many of us say that he helped us get through nursing school! Sometimes if I'm having trouble understanding something I'll check out youtube and see if he has a video on the subject.

I just had to post and stick up for him, he has really helped me understand many nursing concepts and pathos! I highly recommend you check him out on youtube. He's the cutie in the blue scrubs if you search for practically any nursing topic.

I second this. Me and a few other students were struggling and didn't pass the first time around. His videos has helped us, were all doing better because of him. Its not for everyone though, I hate reading so I have to find other ways to learn. Some students can simply read a book and get it, im a visual learner so it has helped me tremendously!

Just like everyone says with the textbooks, I'm always re-checking things in other websites and comparing the info when it seems suspect. I have to pay for enough things that have errors in them, I'm not going to get another. I like nurselabs for care plan assistance and youtube has some great videos, too. There are a lot of free resources that, when used creatively, can really enhance your understanding of the subjects you are having trouble with. I just wouldn't bother a pay site.

His videos are pretty much saving my life right now. I think it's crazy to try to discredit his videos because he failed out of nursing school. All of my professors are nurses and my patho one is a doctor; he opens his powerpoints and literally just reads them to the class, up to 97 slides..., doesn't teach a darn thing. My pharm instructor doesn't know half of the drugs, she just reads off a powerpoint and confuses herself every lecture. This is my second semester and I have yet to have a professor that is an actual TEACHER that can teach. So he may have failed out of nursing school but my professors have masters degrees and they can't get the job done like he can. He's obviously gifted at explaining things in a way that really sticks and really helps. I would basically be cramming everything this semester without learning anything if it wasn't for his videos. My friend and I just joined the website, but it's true most of the stuff is on youtube and you could possibly get away with not signing up. Although he does have some AMAZING study techniques on his website that are worth just getting a month for in order to learn them. I am too late for this round of exams to use the study techniques because I just learned them late last week and my exams are this week, but I'm definitely going to study that way for the next round of exams. I feel like I would really do well if I studied that way.
