  1. Just took it this morning....shut off at 75..now patiently waiting...
  2. I take mine on the 22!! Good to luck to everyone!!
  3. I am graduating in May and I am getting nervous to the point I am losing sleep. I was hoping to get some answers or opinions to help clarify the mess and fear in my head. First thing is, I feel like I am not ready for the hospital but but then a half hour later goes by and I am telling myself that I am and then I start visualizing a situation that I wouldnt know what to do and then the nerves start coming into play and then the safety binkie comes into play and then I feel like I should work in a LTC facility. I want to grow in nursing and I feel if I work in a LTC I will lose all the skills and then it will get boring doing the same thing over and over. Is MedSurg a good transition from nursing school?..I feel so lost...or maybe its the stress from all this plus school and knowing I only have 52 more days. Thanks for your opinions in advanced!
  4. My baby had really nothing wrong with him so I was thinking on this nursing diagnosis: Readiness for extrauterine life r/t ????? I am stumped on how to "technically" word it. Would it be something on the order of having normal respiration's and heart rate and temperature??? (of course I would be more in depth of the numbers relating to hr and resp.) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  5. For school we are making care plans for clinical, the teacher told us for the long term goal to make it up. So if my long term goal is for 3 months, what do I put in the evaluation as the long term goal...LTG still ongoing? or do I put nothing since I am still "evaluating" it? Thanks so much!
  6. Is there any technical verbage I can put on the LTG if there isn't one that fits? My client is a quadriplegic who cannot speak, so educating and having her to tell me what she would do is impossible. Anybody have this problem? Thanks in advance!
  7. Is there any technical term to put in a long term goal when there isn't one? All the NOC relate to teaching and having the client relay it back, but my client can't speak.
  8. Ok, thank you for your response.
  9. I am doing a care plan (I am new at this yet), and my patient is a quadriplegic who cannot speak. Any idea on what can I put down for subjective data? (During my clinical's there hasn't been any family coming in to visit so I can't ask them) Thanks in advance!
  10. For me..it is constantly reading, studying, watching skill videos, between two kids and keeping the house somewhat tidy..i have very little "me" time. I also noticed you are going To have some weeks like you are on cloud 9 feeling like you are on the right track ..and then you have the other weeks like you want To go 2008 britney spears where you want To shave your head...not joking..keep up with projects and your readings...make some "you" time and you will be fine.
  11. Our teacher was talking about what would you do moment...and I was wondering if this would be a legal issue. So you ask a nursing student to perform neuro checks and to record them but later you find out that they didnt chart anything...would that reflect back on to you?
  12. when letting the doctor know the medications your patient is having and one of the medications is a sliding scale insulin Lispro, do you write all that out or is there a short hand version? thanks again for all your help!
  13. So I am doing my very first SBAR, and I am to the "A" (assessment part) and on my sheet it says to put down what do I think the problem is...but I thought you couldn't say a diagnosis...if anyone could straighten me out on this, it would be greatly appreciated!!
